CFG Community Bank makes Baltimore Business Journal’s Corporate
Philanthropy Lists

BALTIMORE, MD- Today the Baltimore Business Journal released the 2013 “Largest
corporate philanthropists in Greater Baltimore,” and “Greater Baltimore’s most generous
corporate givers,” lists reflecting the top 25 most generous corporate donors. CFG
Community Bank was listed among companies such as CareFirst BlueCross
BlueShield, Exelon Corporation, DLA Piper, and St. John Properties, Inc. The results
were based off of each company’s giving history for 2012. According to the Journal, the
region’s 25 largest corporate givers donated $46.8 million to Baltimore-area nonprofits.
John W. “Jack” Dwyer, owner and chairman of the board, acquired CFG Community
Bank in August 2009.
“The bank’s corporate giving platform demonstrates the altruistic culture instilled by Mr.
Dwyer. Employees have embraced volunteer and matching gift opportunities. I am
proud to be part of the CFG family;” said Amy Bauer, senior vice president. Bauer
oversees the company’s community engagement program.
CFG and its subsidiaries, Capital Funding and Capital Finance, ranked 19th
on the
“corporate givers” list with a total giving value of $322,303. The bank was 24th
on the
“corporate philanthropists” list with $304,538 in total donations.
