IMPORTANCE OF CIVIC SENSE
Introduction:
•Civic sense is a broader term that
encompasses respect for the law and
community dealing. It also focuses on
etiquette and fundamental human manners
that can make our daily interactions more
respectful and trustworthy.
Promotion of Social Harmony
•Civic sense serves as the cornerstone of
social harmony. When individuals
exhibit awareness and consideration for
the needs and rights of others, it creates
an environment of mutual respect.
Forming Positive Public Places
• Civic sense does not come from high-rise buildings,
shopping malls or Broadway, it comes from
responsible citizens.
• Public places are shared by diverse groups of people,
and civic sense plays a crucial role in maintaining
these spaces for the benefit of all.
Promoting Environmental Responsibility
•Civic sense extends beyond human
interactions to include our relationship with
the environment. Responsible waste
disposal, conservation of resources, and
sustainable practices are integral
components of civic-minded behavior.
Enhancing Quality of Life
•A society that values civic sense is inherently
more pleasant to live in. Caring behavior at
public places, adherence to noise regulations, and
respect for the rights of others contribute to an
environment where individuals feel safe, valued,
and supported.
Building a Sense of Community
•Civic sense strengthens the bonds of
community. When individuals prioritize the
collective good over individual interests, it
nurtures a sense of belonging and shared
responsibility.
Teaching Future Generations
•The importance of civic sense goes beyond
the present generation. It serves as a design
for future generations, imparting values of
respect, responsibility, and empathy.
What we can do
• Help the needy, save water, plant more trees, park at
the right place, keep parks clean, use public facilities
with care even when no one is watching, abide by
traffic rules, avoid underage driving, cooperate with
community administration.
Conclusion:
•In the fast-growing complex of society, civic
sense is the golden thread that weaves
individuals into a harmonious and
blossoming community.
