 Goods & Services are produced to fulfill the orders rather than keeping them in stock
 Production facilities used in this system are flexible to produce wide variety of product
 Inputs and conversion process are continuously adjusted and changed according
to the design, shape ,size & quantity of the output.

It is of 2 types:
1) Job or unit Production System
2) Batch Production System

4. 2) CONTINUOUS PRODUCTION SYSTEM
 Production is carried out in accordance to the sales forecast and stock
position.
 The raw materials, process and products are standardized .
 Importance is given to Planning, Scheduling and controlling activities.
 rigid compared to Intermittent Production System.
 Some examples:
Production of FMCG like soaps ,biscuits, beers, etc.
