• Rugged robotic system to measure
characteristics of sorghum in the field.
• Smart Wire power flow control devices to
increase overall grid transmission utilization by
more than 30% and reduce cost by 50%.
• Dendrite-blocking polymers in lithium-ion
batteries to reduce overheating and fires. Two
different grants:
– Nano-composite protective layers in low-cost,
high-energy lithium batteries
– Optimize a new solid electrolyte made of polymer
material
