Responsibilities
I was doing my 200 hours o my internship with Dr. Escandon. While I was there I did ECGs
daily, gave flu/pneumonia injections, assisted with Pap smears, Urinalyses, Prepped for physicals
male and female, entered new patients, updated charts, put in prescription refill requests, and
prepped patients for Botox/Juvaderm injections. I was also responsible for collecting co-
pays/past due bills, checking patients in and verifying patient demographics, and answering the
phone in a timely manner. I also did phlebotomy, and ran labs when able.
Accomplishments
I was able to practice all the skills I had learned in school and I was told I learned very quickly
and was able to perform tasks myself within the first week. I was offered employment when I
completed my hours but was unable to accept due to me relocating to San Antonio area.
