2. SETTING UP THE TRIPOD - CAMERA
Firstly, I had to set up
the tripod by
positioning and
standing it up.
Then I had to take
the base plate off
of the tripod and
screw the camera
onto the base
plate.

After screwing the
camera onto the
baseplate, you have to
press the red button
on the tripod and slide
the baseplate back
onto the top of the
tripod, with the
camera secure on it.
3. Setting up the actual tripod
You have to release clips that are holding the tripod together. As you can see by the pictures above, I released them
forcing the tripod to increase in height. You have to push down with your feet for it too stay flat-out.
4. INTERVIEW SHOT AND VOX POP SHOT
• An interview shot has the
subject on one side of the
shot not looking directly
at the camera.
• A vox pop shot has the
subject in the centre of
the shot looking directly at
the camera.
5. DO’S AND DONT’S
Make sure the panning handles
tightened very well.
DO NOT leave the base plate on the camera
when finished
DO NOT leave any equipment out when
finished
