1. Job Title: Chief Financial Officer of FPR Partners, LLC

SUMMARY
Responsible for the oversight of the accounting systems and financial reports (including tax and audit) for
FPR Partners, LLC and the funds it manages (total assets over $500 mm) and maintenance and
supervision of control policies. Responsible for the security of assets and proper recognition of liabilities.
Functions as Chief Compliance Officer. Prepares return measurements and other reporting requirements
and assists with marketing materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
• Directs all partnership and LLC accounting functions performed internally or by outside parties.
• Prepares monthly performance statistics and communicates internally and with outside investors;
responds to data requests of potential and existing investors.
• Plans and manages the monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes by establishing goals and
monitoring progress against scheduled processes and by reviewing various reports to ensure data
accuracy.
• Performs accounting for General Partner including carried interest calculations
• Researches complex accounting issues and recommends proper accounting treatment in accordance
with GAAP.
• Oversees compliance with the Securities and Exchange regulations for FPR Partners, LLC, the
registered investment company. Acts as Chief Compliance Officer for FPR Partners, LLC.
• Reviews service contracts, partnership and limited liability company agreements, as well as other
documents and recommends changes as necessary.
• Coordinates and manages the annual budgeting process and prepares three year forecasts. Works
with Fremont Group to negotiate allocated expenses such as rent and internal services. Estimates
salaries and outside services for the forecast periods.
• Communicates with the prime broker to manage tax lots and ensure accurate accounting of assets
and liabilities.
• Provides information to the tax preparer and performs research with the tax preparer regarding
various investment and operational transactions.
• Manages cash transfers and ensures proper approval is obtained prior to the movement of cash or
other assets from the prime broker or other custodians. Settles intercompany charges with Fremont
Group.
• Provides audit and transaction confirmations to investors’ auditors and custodians.
• Identifies and implements procedural and organizational efficiencies.
• Works on various departmental projects and other duties as assigned.
• Works with outside auditors, attorneys, and other service providers.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance-related field from a four-year college or university.
Ten years of experience in a combination of public and private accounting/finance roles is required.
Experience with private partnerships/funds dealing in public securities is strongly preferred. Experience in
compliance and/or knowledge of SEC regulations and RIA reporting requirements are preferred. CPA
certification is preferred. MBA degree is desirable.
2. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills, working knowledge of computers and
various accounting applications and software, as well as the ability to conduct presentations in front of
senior managers and outside investors. Demonstrated professional and personal integrity and strong
work ethic is essential. Knowledge of Advent Software preferred.
