covering a wide spectrum of topics, including strategic planning, organizational and operating model transformation, risk

2014 – Present McKinsey & Company - Engagement Manager; Financial Institutions Group; Dubai

 Led the end to end development of a financial sector blueprint for one of the largest GCC central
banks
 Conducted a comprehensive risk assessment of a leading bank in Algeria and institutionalized a
risk appetite framework as well as defined an ERM transformation roadmap
 Conducted the post-merger integration of two of the largest payments companies in the MENA
region, including due diligence on merger synergies
 Developed the end-to-end 5 year corporate banking strategy of one of the largest banks in the
GCC, defined initiatives and evaluated their impact and requirements
 Supported the transformation/ turnaround of one of the main plants of a major petrochemical
company
 Led implementation efforts of nationwide initiatives part of the 2030 vision of a GCC country
 Developed a procurement and inventory strategy for a leading oil and gas provider in the GCC
 Designed the responsible lending guidelines for the central bank of a major GCC country
 Set in place and operated a transformation war room for the turnaround of a large car retailer in
KSA
 Conducted country wide risk assessment and mitigation plan for a GCC government
 For a major petrochemical company in Abu Dhabi, developed the 2030 strategic plan, including
market trends, product strategies, identification of strategic alliances and target geographies
2010 – 2014 Booz & Company - Associate; Financial Services Practice; Beirut -
 Conducted a full-fledged organizational restructuring of one of the largest banks in the GCC
 Developed and institutionalized the capital allocation and target setting framework for a large bank
in Kuwait and supported the tracking of BU/ subsidiary risk return performance across the group
 For a major bank, assessed the financial and capital impact of every initiative in its capital plan and
followed-up on their successful implementation
 Designed the capital and funds transfer pricing framework (CFTP) for one of the leading Islamic
banks
 Conducted a risk assessment (ICAAP, stress testing, risk appetite, etc.) for a leading bank in
Turkey
 Set 5 year strategic plan for a large GCC bank aimed at turning around its profitability, defined
various business-led initiatives and followed up on their implementation
 Led the design and implementation of a full-fledged Management Information System for a bank
 Supported the establishment of a new 'Green Field' bank in Libya
 Designed the operating model and organizational structure for a major real estate company
 Developed an Affluent and HNWI strategy for the Wealth Management division of a large bank
 Institutionalized the supervisory framework for the insurance division of a central bank in the GCC
