The members chose to support the Catherine Violet Hubbard Foundation through their community service project. The Foundation was established after Catherine, a 6-year-old animal lover, was killed in the Sandy Hook tragedy. It supports animal sanctuaries and other projects in Catherine's memory. The group met with Catherine's mother, Jenny Hubbard, and decided to raise money for the Foundation's animal sanctuary. They held two fundraisers - selling candy grams at school and "Cups of Kindness" at a grocery store. In total they raised over $345 for the sanctuary.
2. Community Service Project
The Community Service Project provides an opportunity for chapter members to develop a better understanding of
the role civic activities have in society, to make a contribution to a community service or charity, and to learn and
apply the principles of the numerous components of marketing management. Chapter members demonstrate the
knowledge and skills necessary in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating a community service project.
For this project we chose the Catherine Violet Hubbard Foundation!
