Y2 FMP Pre-Proposal.docx
1. Tell me in no more than20 words, what is your
FMP idea?
My FMP idea is a photography exhibition
Why have youdecided to makeit? I havedecided tomake this because photography
has been a passionof mine for a while but these
projects I havealways stuck to my gutand gone
with the NFL, so I felt this hadmore opportunities.
What aboutyourproject makesit importantto
you?
For me this is importantbecauseit’s a chance of
tone for me, butphotography issomethingI love,
andI really think I can come up with a strongidea
andproduce a strongproductby the end of
everything.
Outline someof the initial influences onyour
idea/work and somepotential research targets
(remember, research isn’t justa paper-based
activity)
For me, my biggest influence is any photographer
who hasever photographedNewYork because
the pictures are simply incredible and growing up,
they always made youwant andwish youcould
be in New York. Sometargets for me are Garry
Winogrand andSteve McCurry.
What effect do youwant to haveon your
audience when they see yourproject?
I want my audience to feel like they’veseen the
beauty of York andhow over time the man-made
elements have takenover comparedto the past
where it was mainly naturedominated. I want to
create somethingthatmaybethe audience can
really feel like its different and new for them.
Describe the tone/mood/styleofyourproject
[which productiontechniques/characteristicsare
youemploying?]
The style I’mgoing for is a very different style to
the normalsport style, so thisis more laid back
andchilled. The moodI want to create is a happy
one butthat can alter dependingon the weather
when it comes to takingthe pictures.
Why have youdecided to makeyour project in
this style?
I think this is better for me andthe audience
because its somethingthateveryonecan relate to
andunderstandwhereas my last big project about
the NFL thatis a marketthatreally is more
American dominatedandmale dominatedandI
want this project to appeal tobothgenders butof
a certain age group.
