Albright Technologies’ President Receives EMERGE Award
LEOMINSTER, MA, June 25, 2013 – After recently being named President of Albright
Technologies, Bob Waitt recently received an EMERGE Award from the North Central MA
Chamber of Commerce. This award was given to 10 young professionals who work in North
Central Massachusetts for their outstanding work professionally and in the community. Each
nominee was scored by a small selection committee, on his or her career history and trajectory,
community involvement, community dedication and recognition by others.
Bob Waitt began his career at Albright Technologies at the age of 15, working part time in the
founder’s garage in Sterling, MA. After receiving his B.S. in electrical engineering from Boston
University in 2006, he was offered a full-time position at Albright and since then has held every
position in the company including machinist, molder, project engineer and operations manager.
In 2008, Bob was promoted to VP of Business Development and in January 2013, when the
previous President/CEO retired, Bob was appointed the new President/CEO at the age of 28.
Like many small companies, Albright was started in a garage with only a few employees. Over
the last 18 years Albright has grown into a successful company with 15 employees, a clean room,
machine shop and molding room. Bob has played an integral role in helping Albright expand,
evolve and become a leader the silicone prototype molding industry.
The awards were officially conferred at the EMERGE Awards Ceremony last Thursday at
Fitchburg State University. The event was hosted by Mayor Lisa Wong (Fitchburg, MA), as on the
of the area’s most prominent young professionals, along with David McKeehan, President of the
North Central MA Chamber of Commerce, and Chris Hendry, Vice President for Institutional
Advancement, Fitchburg State University.
