Pastor
Clover Baptist Church - Clover, VA - February 2013 to Present
Responsibilities:
I am responsible for leading the congregation in their walk with the Lord Jesus, and increasing attendance
and membership numerically. I do this through research, preparation, teaching and preaching messages on
Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Also, conducting small group studies in my home geared toward
young adults and teenagers. Evangelizing and reaching people who are lost, and leading them to Christ through
Scripture and the work of the Holy Spirit. I visit members of the church who are shut-in, grieving, and in need of
counseling, providing for their individual needs. I sit on all the committees of the church and am responsible for
providing direction of the church. I also plan and coordinate special events that encourage the congregation
to reach out to the unchurched.
Accomplishments:
All accomplishments are a direct result of God working through me to advance His kingdom and not by my
own hand. In the past two years, the number of baptisms are six times greater than they were previously, and
have matched a level that the church has not seen since 2000. The overall attendance to our services has
more than doubled. The majority of the increase has come from the age range of 12-40, with that age range
tripling in two years. Also, the congregation has increased its efforts to spread the Gospel to those with whom
they have contact regularly. They have also begun to increase efforts to provide assistance to those within the
community who have physical, monetary, and spiritual needs.
Skills Used:
The greatest skill I possess is my love for the Lord and the desire to see Him be made known to all the
peoples throughout the world, starting in the local area. It also requires compassion, effective leadership and
communication. I possess the ability to plan, coordinate and execute plans with a staff that is completely made
of volunteers. Perseverance and hard work are required as well as not being afraid of failing.
Research Technician
ICF International - Martinsville, VA - January 2011 to April 2013
Responsibilities:
I recorded accurate data and prepared reports on inbound and outbound calls to be sent directly to the
Pentagon. Assisted developers in creating new and innovative systems to aid other research technicians in
recording data more accurately. Developed and maintained an orderly and secure filing system to house paper
copies of all reports.
Accomplishments:
ICF International was able to make a profit of roughly 2.5 million dollars due to the efficiency of the systems and
organization of data that my team and I were able to create. The systems are still in use by the company today.
Skills Used:
Organization and communication were essential. Computer skills and communication were needed to develop
systems. This required the ability to take data from multiple sources and combine it into an easy to read format.
Youth/Children's Pastor
Calvary Baptist Church - Roxboro, NC - November 2011 to February 2013
Responsibilities:
I prepared and lead Children's Church every Sunday morning. I chaired the Youth and Children's Committee
which was responsible for planning events for both teenagers and children as young as 3.
Accomplishments:
I led the youth on their first trip in over 5 years. The number of teenagers attending increased from 2 weekly
to an average of 10. The children from the ages of 3-12 that attended Children's Church increased from 4 to
a weekly average of 24.
Skills Used:
A love for Christ, and the desire to show youth and children that they are loved regardless of who they are
or where they come from. The position required high energy and the ability to break down the Scriptures to a
level that was easily understandable for children and teenagers of all ages. Communication and coordination
with volunteers, parents and the senior pastor.
Supply Technician/Groundskeeper
Halifax Regional Health Systems - South Boston, VA - May 2007 to January 2011

also responsible for the secure destruction of files, and for maintaining the parking lots around the hospital to
make sure that they looked welcoming.
Accomplishments:
During my tenure, I Increased my productivity. I was able to take on additional tasks due to increased demands
from a growing organization. Organized and simplified the filing process for which files were placed in long-
term storage. Increased the communication of workers in the warehouse.
Skills Used:
Encouraged and lead members of the team to work more efficiently together through effective communication.
Organization and simplification of processes to increase productivity.
Infantry Scout Squad Leader
USMC - Camp Lejeune, NC - September 2002 to April 2007
Responsibilities:
I was responsible for the physical and emotional well being of 34 Marines. I would assist them in handling
personal and professional matters that would/could effect their careers. During my deployments to Iraq, I was
responsible for assisting my commanding officer in developing techniques to catch the enemy off guard and to
remove or limit his ability to launch attacks against coalition forces. I personally led patrols into to combat areas
in order to find the enemy and engage him with all weapons at my disposal. Within the US, I was responsible
for assisting my commanding officer in creating ways to train Marines for situations that they would likely be
facing on combat deployments. In doing so, I trained the next group of leaders and ensured that they were
capable of taking the place of their superior at a moments notice.
Accomplishments:
My highest personal accomplishment is that today I still have the respect and trust of the Marines who were
under my charge, and they still come to me with important matters for guidance and direction. My highest
personal military award is the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Combat Distinguishing Device
for superior performance of duties while deployed in a combat environment. I also received the Good Conduct
Medal for serving for a total of three consecutive years without any formal charges of misconduct being held
