 Act as a focal point for Insurance Office between the medical record,
accounting section and higher management.
 Responsible for resolves technical Medical Insurance Claims by
discussing Medical conditions, making assessments and settling claims
in accordance with company policy by my own without any further
assistance.
 Adjudicates medical claims/bills for payment or denial within contract
agreement or guidelines/protocol, using knowledge of medical claims/bill
payment processing and medical regulations.
 Verifies and updates relevant data into groups/ computerized systems
and calculates manually any adjustments needed.
 Verifies member eligibility.
 Receives daily workflow via documents and incoming phone calls and e-
mails.
 Interacts with related departments regarding claims/bills and resolves
issues in a courteous and timely manner.
 Actively seeks information to understand patient circumstances and
problems with insurance companies.
 Responsible for submit all monthly claims – Outpatient and Inpatient –
within the agreed submission time of period using proper tools.
 Formulate backup plans in case anything goes wrong.
 Responsible for reviewing a medical claim for accuracy and validity. And
compares the billed medical procedures to the insured’s specific plan
benefits.
 Decide if the items billed fall within the insurance member’s plan
provisions.
 Examines and processes paper claims and/or electronic claims.
 Operate and manage e-claim system, generate necessary XML files to
be submitted through HAAD (Health Authority of Abu Dhabi) website to

the insurance company.
 Analyze rejection reports to understand and correct rejection reasons.
 Determines whether the return, pending, deny claims are within policies,
and resubmitting corrected claims.
 Follows established departmental policies and procedures, operating
memos and corporate policies to resolve claims and claims issues.
 Prepare monthly and yearly statistics regarding (number of claims,
submitted claims, rejected claims, submitted amount, rejected amount
and collected amount) location and doctor wise.
 Supervise a team of Data Entry Clerks .

RECORDS CLERK – INSURANCE Nov 2007 to May 2010
In this position I was responsible to complete all insurance claim forms and
prepare it to be claimed from the insurance company, this job required the
following steps:
 Collect all claim forms from all departments and give that claims a serial
number, then making copies of that claim to keep it for reference use,
then entering them to the system.
 Collect pharmacy prescriptions, lab tests, radiology forms and all other
procedure then attaching them to the proper claim form using the
system.
 Printing and checking the invoices and attaching them to their claim
forms.
 Printing the final statement and check it against the invoices.
 Auditing Daman delegates bills in our hospital, making sure that all
procedures done are claimed.
 Administrator on Call responsibilities: holding administrator on call
duties for one week each month to solve any problem might happen in
the hospital after duty hours or during weekends.
