3. INTRODUCTION:
A simple potential divider arrangement using
thermistor is capable of sensing the temperature,
(presence of fire) and alerting us with a warning
signal. This is suitable for our home security
systems.
5. Working:
The main parts of
this circuit are the
thermistor, diode
and the transistor.
When an external
heat is experienced
by the thermistor, its
resistance decreases.
The decrease in the
resistance allows a
small amount of
current to pass.
6. Working: (CONTINUED)
The current is derived through the diode towards the base of the transistor.
This allows the transistor to act as an open switch and current to pass through the collector and emitter of
the transistor.
This results in the execution of the output components, and the LED turns on the Buzzer starts to BEEP.
12. FUTURE SCOPE:
To overcome disadvantages and looking for
implementation of Automatic FIRE detection.
In the place of Thermistor we have to use
Sensors.
Uses of Speakers instead of Thermistor with
warning message of Audio alert signal.
