This document provides installation instructions for injection hose systems used to seal structural joints in underground concrete structures and tunnels. Install hose in concrete joint
1. Installation
Put the hose in the middle of the cold
joint. The connection, ventilating hose /
PREDIMAX / CEM has to be placed
completely inside the concrete structure.
The hose has to be well set on the cold
joint and has to be fastened with hose
clamps at approx. 15 cm distance
(depending on surface of the concrete
of the construction joint).

The injection ends have to be placed towards the outside of
the formwork in order to be easily found again.
Two different ways of installation are possible:

PREDIMAX injection hose is a paten-
ted premium system with a General
Building Code Test Certificate (abP).
This double-jacketed PVC hose,
which features offset openings for
the release of compressed injection
liquids, is used for the sealing of
structural joints in underground
structures and tunnels.
PREDIMAX injection hose is a twin
layer system made up of an interior
hose, with big outlets for the release
of injection liquids, covered by an
outer hose whose shell contains
slots which are placed offset from the
openings of the inner hose. This twin
layer technology reliably inhibits fines
from penetrating the inner shell of the
PREDIMAX injection hose ensuring
the free passage of the injection liquid
into the concrete substrate.
Successful Injections are possible
even after years due to the smooth
surface which doesn´t allow any
sinter deposits or obstructions in the
system.

CEM injection tube is a budged-priced,
high-capacity injection system. This sin-
gle-walled tube based on PVC material
with slightly cone-shaped openings and
slots for the emersion of compressed
injection material. The slots close auto-
matically due to their special geometry
thus avoiding efficiently any penetration
of cement paste from outside into the
transport duct.
The injection tube with a General Buil-
ding Code Test Certificate (abP) can be
used for the sealing of construction joints
in civil and underground engineering as
well as in tunneling. The smooth surface
of CEM injection tube efficiently prevents
any unwanted bonding between injection
tube and concrete.CEM injection tube
can be easily used for the injection with
every favored injection material.
Successful Injections are possible even
