BASICS OF NUMBER SYSTEM
Types of Numbers :-
Natural Numbers –ex.1,2,3,4 (Starting from 1)
Whole Numbers- ex.0,1,2,3,4 (Starting from 0)
Integers – -∞….-4,-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4…..∞
Even Numbers –Number which is divisible by 2. ex. 2,4,6,8.. ( 0 is not a Even
Number)
Odd Number – Numbers which are not divisible by 2 .ex. 1,3,5,7,9..
Prime Number – Numbers which are divisible by 1 or themselves. ex.2,3,5,7,11.
Some Basic Formulae :-
(a+ b)2 = (a2 + b2 + 2ab)
(a– b)2 = (a2 + b2 – 2ab)
(a2– b2) = (a + b) (a – b)
(a + b)3 = (a3 +3ab2 + 3 a2b+ b3)
(a– b)3 = (a3 -3 a2b +3ab2 – b3)
(a3 + b3) = (a + b)(a2 – ab + b2)
(a3– b3) = (a – b)(a2 + ab + b2)
(a+ b + c)2 = a2 + b2 + c2 + 2(ab + bc + ca)

3. Formulae for Summation :-
The sum of n consecutive natural numbers from 1= N(N+1)/2
The sum of n odd natural numbers from 1= N2
The sum of n even natural numbers from 1= N(N+1)
The sum of squares of Numbers = n(n+1)(2n+1)/6
