4. • My console is made by the company Ninento
and it is called the PlayBox. The console has to
compete with every other console made by
this class.
5. • CPU: Intel Core i5 4440 3.10GHz Socket 1150 6MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor (£128 ebuyer) I chose this
because the console wont be running games that are high spec, so that the console wont need a high end CPU,
this console is meant to be a budget console.
• Graphics Processor: two of Sapphire R7 240 4GB DDR3 Dual DVI HDMI PCI-E (£63 ebuyer each) I chose this
because they was fairly cheap and also they are quite powerful in consideration, also it can make the console run
with HDMI, which would make the console video quality good.
• Sound: Dependent on your television and video display
• Internal Storage: Toshiba 2TB Internal Hard Drive (£62 ebuyer). The memory can never be too big and so that the
console and so that the console can store a lot of stuff on like add-ons, music, games and system settings.
• Portable Storage Media: Blue Ray disc for highest quality games, with DVD compatibility so then people can watch
videos and also CD compatibility so that the user can install music from a disk onto the hard drive also listen to
CDs without installing the music.
• Power supply: Power brick so that if the power brick breaks it won’t affect the console directly so that it makes it
easier to replace if it breaks
• Controller: The controller will have a similar design of an xbox controller but it will have better finger grips on the
anolog and instead of having headphones as a plug-ins it can have a touch screen. It will have motion sensory in it.
It will be powered by a wire to save the use of batteries and to save money. Also the wire could be taken out to be
used wirelessly and it will by charged by wireless.
• Connectivity: It will use controller ports and also be wireless in case the user wants to save batteries, it will have
WiFi so that players can connect to online and download games onto the hard drive. The console will also have
Ethernet in case the user wants faster speed on their online gameplay.
• Software: A customisable interface so that the users can change how his console looks the user is on it. Most likely
an Android OS. I chose Android OS because it can be modified more than other OS on the console market.
6. Market Research
I did some market research by doing a
questionnaire and asking people about what
they would put and asking them to fill in a
questionnaire that I made after I got the results
from the questionnaire I put the results into
excel and then made pie charts to see which was
the higher percentage. The age ranges I asked
was around the age of 16 to 20.
