This document defines different shot types and sizes used in filmmaking, including extreme long shots used to show settings from a quarter mile away, long shots that show whole figures or objects, mid shots from the waist up that allow movement, close ups focused on the head that show emotion, and extreme close ups of single facial features for detail. Cutaways are also mentioned as a shot type.

3. EXTREME LONG SHOT
❖Usually used to show the setting of the scene.
❖Also known as an establishing shot.
❖Can be up to a quarter mile away.

4. LONG SHOT
❖Can also be used to set the scene.
❖Usually used to show a whole figure or in relation to something big.

5. MID SHOT
❖Usually includes from the waist to the head.
❖Allows for more movement than a close up and hand gestures.
❖Emotionally neutral.
❖Usually used to give information.

6. CLOSE UP
❖Used to show emotion.
❖Usually includes a headshot.
❖Includes detail.

7. EXTREME CLOSE UP
❖The most detailed shot.
❖Usually includes a single feature of someone.
