Hi, I am Lori Corpuz, the Project Coordinator here at Absolute Green Energy. I am going to take this opportunity to introduce you to our company and the solar industry. Absolute Green Energy is located at 92 Gardner St. and can be contacted through the phone at 508-459-5410 or online at absolutegreenenergy.com.
I will be presenting this slideshow as a guide to you, the homeowner, on who we are are, what solar energy is, and if we are the right move for you!
Absolute Green Energy, founded in 2008, is the third company started by Glenn Frohring, Mike Ortolano, and Nathan Smith. We are a new company with a strong 4 years under our belt providing Photovoltaic solutions for our clients.
So what does Absolute Green Energy do exactly? We are NABCEP Certified local solar experts, here to provide commercial and residential customized Solar PV solutionsthroughout the state of Massachusetts. We are what you call integrators, the medium between a manufacturer and a client. As integrators our business designs, builds, and installs complete PV systems. Now before we dive into discussing our process, we need to understand solar power itself
You may ask what is Solar Power? Well, Solar power, also known as Solar Irradiation, is the total amount of solar energy accumulated on an area over timeThe Sun creates radiation, which is energy that expands outward from the sun in the form of waves or particles. At any instant there is 170 million gigawatts of radiation reaching earth at a distance of 8 minutes In order to convert this energy into commercial and residential energy, Photovoltaic cells are used. These photovoltaic Cells are similar to semiconductors; on panels they absorb the solar radiation and convert them to electricity for your homePV panels produce no noise or pollutionSun sends radiation.Takes energy and transfers it into whats useablePV: takes solar energy and transfers it to electricitySolar Thermal: takes solar energy to heat water
You may choose solar because it will reduce your carbon footprint towards a more sustainable future. But most people will choose Solar because of the financial benefits:Government subsidies reducing the cost of a Solar PV system. The reduction in your electric bill and a payback from your system in 5 yearsSREC auction system that allows you to sell bonds back to utility, promoting your use of alternative energy.Although finances may be more of an incentive to go solar, you must realize that you will play a vital role in our future by promoting sustainability. Sustainable development in and of itself promotes the balance between the environment, economics and our lives. Sustainable EnergyGovernment SubsidiesSmaller Electric Bill
We can provide examples of profit our customers gained through the SREC system. As of July 2012, our customers have generated
Now that we have an understanding of Solar Power and the benefits we can discuss whatsolutions we can provide you if you choose to go Solar. We provide consulting and installation that typically follow this process depending on what you would like.First we begin with a Site Assessment more than half the buildings are not fit because of orientation of building, obstructions like trees that could undermine the solar access of the location of the equipment need enough solar access Need newer roofs Offer energy audits(starting platform for evaluating how to reduce energy costs)Design Mechanical Engineers design your system based on the measurements we received from out site assessments. This system is the blueprint for the installation of your systemPaperwork for grants and rebates, administrative partsInstallation of Solar PV Once we have received the equipment, we install and provide maintenance for your system.Only thing left is to enjoy your reduced electric bill and sell your SREC’s back to Utility
Now, If you are looking for an estimate of savings you may send us a copy of your electric bill and or set up an appointment for a site assessment.
