MARKETING
For measuring the performance of your e-mail marketing campaigns,
there are certain metrics which has been mentioned below
CLICK-THROUGH
RATE
It is the total percentage of email recipients who clicked on any or more links in the
email.
Number of total clicks in the mails/Total number of delivered
emails*100
Ex: 700 total clicks/10,000 total emails delivered*100 = 7% CTR
OPEN
RATE
It is the percentage of total emails that has been opened by the email
recipients.
Total emails opened/Total emails delivered*100
BOUNCE
RATE
The number of total emails that didn’t get delivered (that were marked
as spam, that which didn’t get delivered because of wrong email
addresses and others).
Bounce Rate = Total number of emails that got bounced/total number of
emails sent*100
E-MAIL SHARING/FORWARDING
RATE
The percentage of email recipients who clicked on the social sharing
button to forward the email content through social network or
clicked on ‘forward to a friend’ button in the email.
Number of clicks on the share or the forward button/Total number of
emails delivered*100
Revenue Per Mail
It is the percentage of revenue from every mail sent.
It is estimated by calculating….
the total revenue accruing from customer’s purchases through the email
campaign/total number of emails sent*100
