3. Virtual Reality
The 3D computer generated environment with 3D computer generated
images and objects that can be interacted by the user using special
equipment.
The user wears the special equipment and is able to visualize himself inside
the computer generated environment with computer generated objects
that he/she can interact with to generate some functionalities as per the
application.
Eg: Games, Videos, etc.
4. Augmented Reality
This is a technology where a computer generated image or object is super
imposed in the user’s view of the real world and thus provides a composite
view where it looks like the computer generated object is present in the
real world.
Eg: Pokemon Go, SketchAR, IKEA Place, etc.
5. Mixed Reality
This is a technology where a computer generated image or object the real
world objects co-exist and interact in real time.
Eg: Galaxy Explorer, Robo Raid, etc.
6. Comparison
Virtual Reality is not the
real world but a computer
generated simulation that
makes the user feel like
he/she is in this world.
Augmented Reality is the
real world with part of it
superimposed by the
computer generated
objects. The computer
generated objects do not
interacts with the real
world objects unlike MR.

8. Applications of Mixed Reality
First Person Application
Simulation-Based Learning
Military Training
Real Asset Virtualization Environment
Remote Working
