Just for a second , close your eyes and
imagine...as if green vanishes from earth.
We can’t even think that right? Yaa, that is
the power of green... Lets know the

Green
•Green stands for balance, nature, spring, and rebirth. It’s the symbol
of prosperity, freshness, and progress.
•The Green Party in the US is inextricablytied to ecological and
progressive causes, and a "greenback" is another termfor our paper
currency.
• In Japanese culture, green is associated with eternal life, and it is the
sacred colourof Islam, representing respect and the prophet
Muhammad.
Positive Associations
We associate green with vitality, fresh growth,
and wealth. We generally think of it as a balanced,
healthy, and youthful. We use green in design for
spaces intended to foster creativity and productivity,
and we associate green with progress–think about
giving a project the "green light".
Negative Associations
What’s fascinating is that as positive as most of
our associations with green are, it carries particular
potent negative connotations as well. Someone who
feels sick might look "green around the gills," and certain
yellow-gray greens have a distinctly unpleasant,
institutional feel to them. We link green with envy and
with greed, and even the Mr. Yuck sticker intended to
warn children away from potentially hazardous
chemicals is a bright, eye-catching green.
Chakras are energy centers within the body that help to regulate all its
processes. Each chakra governs specific functions and is represented by one of
the seven chakra colours.
Chakra Colours Anahata
Green:
The colour of the Heart chakra, also known as Anahata. This chakra is
located at the center of the chest area and is linked to this entire area, the heart,
lungs, circulatory system, and cardiac plexus. The Heart Chakra bridges the
gap between the physical and spiritual worlds. Opening the Heart chakra
allows a person to love more, empathize, and feel compassion. Gemstones that
will aid the Heart chakra include emerald, tourmaline, aventurine, malachite,
rose quartz, and rhodonite.
Green Colour Morse
Only one national flag is a single colour. Libya’s solid
green flag is one-of-a-kind!
In the 1860s, the US government printed new currency.
One side of the bills were printed with green ink to
prevent counterfeiting since cameras of the day could
only take black and white photographs. Paper currency
has henceforth been called "greenbacks." In 1929,
when the government regularized the size and
denomination of its currency, green ink was chosen
because it was both plentiful and durable.
The precious gemstone emerald is a member
of the beryl family,
and what makes a beryl an emerald
is the presence of chromium–the source
of the brilliant green hue.
• Green is everywhere. It’s the most common
colour in the natural world, and it’s second
only to blue as the most common favourite
colour. It’s the colour we associate with
money, the environment, and aliens, and it’s
the colour of revitalization and rebirth.
• Green is a colour pervasive in
the natural environment that
says renewing, refreshing and
regenerating. It represents
balance, growth, learning and
harmony. Green is second only
to blue as a favourite colour.
• Green is a cool colour that symbolizes nature and the natural world.
Perhaps because of its strong associations with nature, green is often
thought to represent tranquillity , good luck, health, and jealousy.
• Researchers have also found that green can improve reading ability.
Some students may find that laying a transparent sheet of green
paper over reading material increases reading speed and
comprehension.
• Green is often used in decorating for its calming
effect. For example, guests waiting to appear on
television programs often wait in a “green room”
to relax.

why they chose the colour green, because it represents security,
since we all seek privacy in our conversations. In the digital
world, the colour green is often used when something is safe or
verified.

crushed, washed to remove impurities, then powdered. It was
sometimes called Green of Verona.

CONCLUSION
As Indians, it's our responsibility to do value
addition to our green products by promoting green
marketing.
• Having a greenthumb (American English) or greenfingers (British English). To
be passionate about or talented at gardening.
• Greenhorn. Someone who is inexperienced.
• Green-eyed monster. Refers to jealousy.
• Greenmail. A term used in finance and corporate takeovers. It refers to the
practice of a company paying a high price to buy back shares of its own stock
to prevent an unfriendly takeover by another company or businessman.
• Greenroom. A room at a theater where actors rest when not onstage, or a room
at a television studio where guests wait before going on-camera.
• Green washing. Environmental activists sometimes
use this term to describe the advertising of a
company which promotes its positive
environmental practices to cover up its
environmental destruction.
• Green around the gills. A description of a person
who looks physically ill.
• Going green. An expression commonly used to
refer to preserving the natural environment, and
participating in activities such as recycling materials.
• Looking green. A description of a person who looks
revolted or repulsed.
• The word green comes from the Middle English and Old English word
grene, which, like the German word grĂźn, has the same root as the words
grass and growThe first recorded use of the word as a color term in Old
English dates to ca. AD 700.
• Latin with viridis also has a genuine and widely used term for "green".
Related to virere "to grow" and ver "spring", Likewise the Slavic languages
with zelenъ. Ancient Greek also had a term for yellowish, pale green –
χλωρός, chloros (cf. the color of chlorine), cognate with χλοερός "verdant"
and χλόη "chloe, the green of new growth".
• Thus, the languages mentioned above (Germanic, Romance,
Slavic, Greek) have old terms for "green" which are derived
from words for fresh, sprouting vegetation.
• However, comparative linguistics makes clear that these terms
were coined independently, over the past few millennia, and
there is no identifiable single Proto-Indo-European or word
for "green".
• For example, the Slavic zelenъ is cognate with Sanskrit
hari"yellow, ochre, golden". The Turkic languages also have
jaťɨl "green" or "yellowish green", compared to a Mongolian
word for "meadow".
‘’THE COLOUR GREEN’ it’s
not only a colour but the entire universe
lies in it.
Green colour is that much important in
our universe!!!
We can’t even think a world without
green, because every little things we see in
our day to day life has green.
• We hope you all understood the
value of the colour GREEN.
• Let’s plant trees and make our
environment green and protect our
earth with the most beautiful colour
green.

Negative Associations What’s fascinating is that as positive as most of our associations with green are, it carries particular potent negative connotations as well. Someone who feels sick might look "green around the gills," and certain yellow-gray greens have a distinctly unpleasant, institutional feel to them. We link green with envy and with greed, and even the Mr. Yuck sticker intended to warn children away from potentially hazardous chemicals is a bright, eye-catching green.

One side of the bills were printed with green ink to prevent counterfeiting since cameras of the day could only take black and white photographs. Paper currency has henceforth been called "greenbacks." In 1929, when the government regularized the size and denomination of its currency, green ink was chosen because it was both plentiful and durable. The precious gemstone emerald is a member of the beryl family, and what makes a beryl an emerald is the presence of chromium–the source of the brilliant green hue.

AD 700. • Latin with viridis also has a genuine and widely used term for "green". Related to virere "to grow" and ver "spring", Likewise the Slavic languages with zelenъ. Ancient Greek also had a term for yellowish, pale green – χλωρός, chloros (cf. the color of chlorine), cognate with χλοερός "verdant" and χλόη "chloe, the green of new growth".
  • 41. • Thus, the languages mentioned above (Germanic, Romance, Slavic, Greek) have old terms for "green" which are derived from words for fresh, sprouting vegetation. • However, comparative linguistics makes clear that these terms were coined independently, over the past few millennia, and there is no identifiable single Proto-Indo-European or word for "green". • For example, the Slavic zelenъ is cognate with Sanskrit hari"yellow, ochre, golden". The Turkic languages also have jaťɨl "green" or "yellowish green", compared to a Mongolian word for "meadow".
