The European Union Payment Services Directive II aims to promote open banking, innovation, payment security and standardized payment systems across Europe by making it faster, easier and less expensive for consumers to pay for goods and services. The EU PSD II Mandate establishes minimum regulations that must be followed and prohibits fees on personal credit or debit cards issued from countries in the European Economic Area. The ATPCO Ticketing Fees Solution coming on December 3rd will enable airlines to specify if a fee applies to personal or corporate cards and the country where the card was issued, enhancing the BIN Answer Table.
