INTRODUCTION
• BHEL is one of the most prominent companies of India.
• it is also known as Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited and is a gas and steam
turbine manufacturer in India.
• It is one of India's nine largest Public Sector Undertakings or PSUs, known
as the ‘Navratna’ or ‘The Nine Jewels’.

• Bowl Mill spares for XRP/XRS 623HP, 703HP, 803HP, 883HP, 1003HP Mills.(use to crush
coal)
• Spares for Boiler Auxiliaries as Coal Burners, Fuel Piping, Air Preheater etc.
• Hydro Turbine component machining as Guide Vanes, Guide Bearings, Guide Bearing
Segment, Bearing Housing, Thrust Pad etc.

A CNC SUSTEM BASICALLY CONSIST OF FOLLOWING
•Numerical Control unit (NCU)
•Servo-control unit
1. Open loop system

•Operator control panel
•Machine control panel
•Programmable logic controller (PLC)
Numerical Control Unit (NCU)
•Execution of the NC programming.
•The number form a programme of instruction designed for a particular job.
•Maintaining communication with the I/Os.
•It accepts the information stored in the memory as part program.
Servo-Control Unit
• The decoded position and velocity control signals, generated by the NCU
for the axis movement forms the input to the servo-control unit.
• This unit in turn generates suitable signals as command values.
OPEN LOOP SYSTEM
CLOSED LOOP SYSTEM
Machine Control Panel
• It is the direct interface between operator and the NC system.
• It is Enable the operation of the machine through the CNC system.
• Establishing a correct reference point.
• Loading the system memory with the required part programme.
• Loading and checking of tool offsets, zero offsets, etc.
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
• A PLC matches the NC to the machine. PLCs were basically introduced as replacement
for hard wired relay control panels.
• PLC help us in reducing the Hardwired controls of machine.
• They provide a platform from where implementation of logic as well as their diagnosis
(fault finding) becomes much simple.
• The PLC are reusable and can be programmed to perform various functions like On
Delay Timers, Off Delay timers, Binary counter, BCD Counters etc.
