PUBLIC TOILETS IN TOWN PLANNING
1. PUBLIC TOILET
What?
A public toilet is a toilet built and managed by a government or public agency, or a privately
managed toilet, which is available for public access.
Need on site?
On our stretch we haven’t found any public toilet, while public survey demands and URDPFI
norm also recommends..
Calculation –
Commercial area ~2260 m2
Area for one person = 0.9 m2 / person
Footfall = 2260/0.9
~2511 persons
W.C. for male = 2/3 of 2511
= 1674/400 (as per norms)
= 4.18 no.
W.C. for female = 1/3 of 2511
= 789/100
= 7.89 no.
2. Location-
1. Near Jagannath mandir
2. Near proposed bus stop
3. Near proposed auto halt
4. Near proposed E- Rickshaw halt
4. Near pink booth
3. Bus stop
What?
A place roadside mostly near to crossing, where people catch their buses.
Need on site?
We haven’t found a proper bus stand on our stretch for public convenience.
Location-
Near kapoorthala crossing
4. Halt and go
What?
A place for vehicles where they halt and move forward with passengers.
Need on site?
Due to haphazard standing of auto and e-rickshaws around kapoorthala crossing, we have found traffic
congestion (about traffic jam conditions).
To maintain it we are proposing halt and go for both auto and e-rickshaws.
Location-
In front of Sahara complex
