WORLD APPLICATIONS
PRESENTED BY
ANANDHU P
ROLL NO:16
2. INTRODUCTION
• Arduino is an open source programmable board.
• It consists an Integrated Development
Environment (IDE).
• We can write and run the programs in arduino.
• It is very easy to use and a powerful single board
computer.
• Arduino boards are able to read inputs like light
on a sensor , finger on a button etc.
4. • In 2017 system of intelligent traffic light controller
using embedded system introduced.
• It is used for controlling the traffic signal that is why it
is used with roads, bikes and traffic.
• For implementing this system using hardware like 4 IR
sensors, ADC, atmega8 microcontroller etc.
• It uses softwares like NetBeans, java language, MySQL
database and glassfish server

SIGNAL
5. • This system is implemented to aims at reducing the
road accident due to drunken and drive
• The system detects the presence of alcohol in the
vehicle and immediately locks the engine of the
vehicle.
• This project can also be used in various companies or
organizations to detect alcohol consumptions of
employees.

Using Arduino
6. • IOT was introduced by the members of the radio
frequency identification development community in
1999
• These things can easily get integrated in the virtual
world enabling anytime, anywhere connectivity
• The system is able to collect sensor data and
respond intelligently as per given situations

7. ARDUINO BOARD
Arduino boards are physical programmable
board that are used for flexible programming,
customizable signal types and easy adaptation
to the existing installations.
10. Arduino UNO
• It is the commonly used board that is also
known as classic Arduino.
• It has 14-digital I/O pins
• 6-analog inputs
• 1 Reset button
• 1 Power jack
• 1 USB connection and more.
11. LilyPad Arduino
• The first version of this kit was introduced in
2006
• This board also contains of I/O, power, and
also sensor boards
• It is built especially for e-textiles
12. Arduino Mega
• The Arduino Mega is similar to the Arduino
UNO
• It is a 5v power supply board
• Most of the Arduino shields are compatible
with the Mega.
14. Smart Homes
• With Arduino boards we can control the home
activities.
• Blower control
• Garage door control
• Air flow control
• Outlet control
• Motion sensor
• Temperature sensor
16. Working
• Micro-controller is used to obtain values of
physical conditions through sensors connected
to it.
• Temperature sensor read temperature values.
• Gas sensor detects smoke and cooking gas to
avoid fire outbreak.
• The automatic switching on and off of the
light is controlled by the Light Dependent
Resistor (LDR).
17. • A motion detector is integrated using Passive
Infrared Sensor (PIR) to detect movement in the
home when the security system is turned on.
• Relay switch is used to send control signals from
the micro-controller to the electronic device.
• A Bluetooth shield module is used to connect
with mobile.
• WIFI shield module is also used to connect with
internet.
18. Industries
• Due to the easy programming environment,
signal types, and easy adaptation in new setup,
Arduino is used in many industries.
• Arduino devices are used in industries for adding
remote control and monitoring functionality to
small legacy industrial systems.
19. Traffic Signal Control
• Arduino is used for the control of traffic lights
• Arduino can also be used for the real time
control system with programmable timings,
pedestrian lighting etc.
• In traffic control system the junction timing
adjusts automatically to accommodate
movement of vehicles smoothly avoiding
waiting time at junction.
20. Medical
• An Arduino based heartbeat monitor counts
the number of heartbeats in a minute.
• Heartbeat sensor module is attached that
senses the heartbeat upon putting a finger on
the sensor
• Arduino is used for designing many medical
equipment’s such as customizable
Breathalyzer, Open source EEG/ECG/EMG,
Thermometer etc.
21. ADVANTAGES
• Inexpensive
• Cross platform
• Open source
• Simplified and user friendly programming
language
• Portable
• Low power consumption
23. FUTURE SCOPE
• Arduino can be integrated with machine learning
and artificial intelligence, which can enable the
development of intelligent systems.
• Arduino can be used to develop automation
systems, such as home automation systems,
industrial control systems, and smart agriculture
systems.
• Arduino can be used to develop robotics projects,
including drones, humanoid robots, and robotic
arms.
24. CONCLUSION
• There are number of application areas for
Arduino board, we highlight as many
references as possible.
• We found that this is well suited for smart
homes, medical, and body control systems.
• I hope that this paper will benefit for who are
keen to contribute their works to the field of
automation.
