I think that Paul McCartney wrote this song
inspired in the concept of integration of the black
(ebony) and the white (ivory) races.
This song contains a message of racial harmony.
It is very simple and beautiful.
It tell us that all the world’s people are equal, are
the same; so we have to live in peace and give
everybody respect and consideration.
