Page orientation is the direction in

The two basic types of page
orientation are portrait (vertical) and

10. TYPES OF MATERIALS (DENSITY OF PAPER)
● 35-55 GSM is typically used for
newspapers. The paper is thin and so
effective for lots of pages which are
low cost and don't need to last long.
● 90 GSM is a typical paper for inner
magazine pages.
● 130-170 GSM is a standard weight for
a good quality poster you would expect
to last for a while.
● 170-300 GSM would be suitable for
most corporate brochure printing.
● 350-400 GSM probably your business
cards are made from.

HEADER: A header is the combination of text and images that can be made to
appear at the top of each page when displayed or printed.
FOOTER: a footer is an area at the bottom of a document page that contains data
common to other pages.
MARGINS:A margin is a space separating text or other elements from the edge of
the paper commonly adjusted through the page setup.
COLUMNS: A column is a vertical series of cells in a chart, table, or spreadsheet.
GUTTERS: Blank space between columns of text.
SIDEBARS: Although sidebars can be used with any content, in most cases,
sidebars are used with inverted vertical menu

Title: title is the name of a book ,
composition, or other Artistic works.
Subtitle: An explanatory or alternate

etc.
Folio: Number of pages in a
document.
15. Primary Headline: A heading in a newspaper for any written material, sometimes
for an illustration, to indicate subject matter, set in larger type.
Subhead: A heading given to a subsection of a piece of writing.
Body text: Body text is the text forming the main content of a book, magazine, web
page or other printed matter.
16. Captions: A title or brief explanation
accompanying an illustration, cartoon, or poster.
Pull Quotes:A brief, attention-catching quotation
taken from the main text of an article.
