2. • Many microbial challenges are at the
forefront of water industries.
• Pathogens, MIC, biofouling, ...
• Microbiological problems are complicated:
• Toolbox is growing = more data = more analysis.
• Contamination is best solved early.
• Microorganisms do not have real-time lead/lag.
• To solve complex problems quickly and
comprehensively, simple yet robust on-the-
spot data analysis is required.
• Cloud-based data management software!

Editor's Notes
LuminUltra provides microbial monitoring solutions comprised of test kits, equipment, software and expertise that help water systems managers reduce risk and cost associated with microbiological contamination.
Based in Fredericton, NB, Canada.
Talk about Dearborn connection and consulting days.
Multiple awards – e.g. Fastest growing company for 6 years; Exporter of the year; etc.
Employees are engineers, microbiologist, biochemists, biotechnologies, programmers and support staff. Our biggest advantage are our people – no other company has the make-up that we do.
100+ published papers to date. Our work has allowed us to gain acceptance with many of the key market players, but we are still viewed as a ‘boutique’ product supplier.
LuminUltra is spearheading the adoption of microbiological management solutions based on a toolbox approach with data of all types being fed into cloud-based software solutions to help improve real-time decision-making when diagnosing and implementing corrective actions against microbiological contamination in a multitude of water treatment, distribution and management applications.
Project partners may include early solution adopters that may be able to help with proof-of-concept of the solution, software or big data service providers with whom our software solutions can integrate, and providers of other microbiological testing products whose data can be integrated into the solution.
