Canada's healthcare system was compared to 10 other countries across several key metrics related to healthcare outcomes and quality of care. Canada performed near or at the median across most measures, including rates of flu immunization among seniors, in-hospital mortality after heart attacks, and diabetes-related lower extremity amputations. However, Canada had higher than median rates of inpatient coronary bypass grafts per capita and cases where objects were left in a patient's body after a procedure.
