INTRODUCTION
4/10 Baluch now known as 11
Baloch was regarded as the most
outstanding battalion of British
Indian Army.
This battalion captured Pandu ,
regarded as the most crucial
tactical feature on Srinagar
Muzaffarabad road in 1947-48
Kashmir war.
This short book describes the
battle of Pandu fought by then
4/10 Baluch .

It was shocking to note in 2017
officially supported history of
Baloch regiment that left columns
repulse was totally whitewashed
and hidden.
The brigade commander of 101
brigade Akbar Khan’s book
“Raiders in Kashmir” was not even
cited as a reference and totally
omitted from this book.
Akbar Khan who fought the battle
never claimed that Indians were
overrun but this book falsely

claimed that many attacks were
launched.
No doubt military history has hit
the rock bottom in Pakistan.
