The document summarizes a student exchange program in Slovenia between schools from 5 countries to promote gender equality. The group met with the mayor of Ljubljana who emphasized the importance of promoting equality between boys and girls. Teachers also participated in a workshop that highlighted natural differences between genders but argued these can lead to positive results when boys and girls learn together in a diverse environment. Students visited cultural sites in Ljubljana and neighboring areas during the exchange.
1. Having in mind the main purpose of our project, we
have joined forces again in Slovenia and decided to
change the mindset of the younger generations of
girls and boys, but also of adult women and men. By
avoiding transmitting gender stereotypes, about
duties and interests, formed on the basis of the
gender social order, the school can help girls and
boys to work in order to reach their true and full
potential, empowering their personal freedom of
choice, enlarging the range of their role models and
promoting their ability to be critical thinkers rather
than consumers.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
Representatives (teachers and students from 5 countries)
took part in a special meeting with the mayor of Ljubljana,
who underlined once again the importance of the project’s
main topic – that of the equality between boys and girls.
The teachers participated in a special workshop about
the differences between boys and girls especially when
it comes to physical activities. It was pointed out that
there are real differences between boys and girls, but
these can lead to positive results when putting the two
genders together. There is beauty in diversity – while
girls tend to be sensitive,, fragile, feminine, organized,
attentive to details, self-conscious, boys tend to be
strong, masculine, spontaneous, individualistic,
dominant, competitive. Having in mind these natural
differences, teachers can better adapt activities to the
particularities of each student.

4. WHAT'S NEXT?
Unfortunately, due to the unexpected Coronavirus (Covid-19)
outbreak, we don't know what the future holds in store for our
project. We can only hope that we will be able to meet in
Romania, Turkey and Greece.
