3. Kozani is a town in the northwest of Greece. It is about
120km from Thessalonica, the second biggest city in
Greece. The population is 70.000 people.

Greek electric supply . 75% of the country's electric
energy is produced in our region and a lot of people
work at the Electric Power Plants.

wines. Carnaval is one of the most important
events in Kozani and lasts for 12 days.
People in disguise or not dance to the
rhythm of the local song “enteka” (eleven).
The most interesting celebration are the
“Fanoi” (great bonfires) lit in every
neighborhood. People sing and dance
around them.
