2. My Case Study for IS30070 (Cybersoc. Tech. &
communications)concerned the History of
Libraries from their establishment in ancient
Mesopotamia and the techniques used then to
the modern world techniques.
It referred to the many changes such as the
community engagement in Libraries that were
not even thought of in ancient times.
3. Structuring questions to librarians via
qualitative (open questions) and quantitative
(closed questions) and which question was the
most relevant to each domain.
Asking public librarians questions to conduct
the elements of research, some were more
hesitant than others.
Contrasting and comparing the questions some
were very diverse.
4. I studied the potential answers to each question
and observed which question had an open and
which question had a closed answer i.e. A one
word answer.
I researched many different libraries and sent
emails to interview different librarians hence
finding librarians to interview.
I viewed the answers both qualitative and
quantitative critically and referred to the
answers objectively in my case study.
5. I learned how to view arguments critically i.e.
How one source is not necessarily the principal
source.
I also learned how it is not necessarily the
easiest task in getting different sectors in
society to answer questions one must shop
around.
I additionally learned how structuring
questions need to be analysed by an
interviewer during a case study on open and
closed questions
