How did you use new media technologies in your product
1.
2. In the planning of my media, I mainly used “Prezi” which allows me to create
slide shows that are more interesting to look at with animations, effects and
different backgrounds. I used Prezi for my research such as, different horror
settings, different types of horror and what makes a horror movie. This is just
some of my work that I created on Prezi:
3. When using Prezi you create a animation path for the particular story you are
creating, and then the second picture is where you think about all the
information you want to include and then you can also add pictures and
YouTube clips. Prezi is an interactive story line and is fairly easy to use. It
makes it more interesting to read rather than reading pages and pages of
information, and keeps the audience interested.
4. Wordpress is what I used to create my blog and update each individual post
that I enter on my blog. It also allows me to edit any blog and also keep and
eye on what date I added the blogs so I can keep everything in order. This is
a great help to me as it allows me to keep all my work on the same blog and
change it any time if I need to.
5. In the research and planning I used YouTube and Timetoast. I used YouTube for
research as I looked at homemade horror teaser trailers that other people had
created and I looked at what I thought was good and what I thought they could
improve and how I could avoid making the same mistakes. I used Timetoast to
create an interactive time line and I researched horror movie past and present and
what films were released in different years and the history of them such as the year
it was released and who directed the film and the main well known characters.
6. In the final stages of the construction of my horror teaser trailer and
ancillary tasks I mainly used Photoshop and Premier Pro. Photoshop
allows you to take a photo and make changes to it, for example make
a blemish on someone’s face disappear or make something more
visible and also get rid of certain backgrounds. Where as Premier Pro
I used this to create my teaser trailer and to edit my footage once it
was completed. Both of these technologies are fairly complicated to
use when you first start using them but when you get used to them it
becomes a lot easier and very useful to your project.
7. This is the work I created on Photoshop, these are my ancillary tasks. The first is
my poster and the second is my magazine. I created both of these from scratch
on Photoshop and these are my own pictures, I cut around these pictures to get a
steady line just around the part of the photo I wanted and then placed them
correctly. I also got rid of blemishes and marks on the models face and coloured
in the background to match the same colour.
