2. Who are we?
Waterford Academy of Education is a private school
established as a Limited Company in 2009
Between them, the Directors have over 80 years
experience of education in Ireland
Dr Venie Martin is retired Head of International Affairs at
Waterford Institute of Technology
Mr Ken McCormick is retired Guidance Counsellor and
English Teacher at Newtown School, Waterford
We work in close partnership with EFL Ireland and WIT.
3. Mission of WAE
Our primary aim is to make the educational,
cultural, sporting and environmental
opportunities of Waterford available for
International visitors and students.
We will do this by offering high quality affordable
programmes, especially in English Language
culture and heritage.

South East of Ireland

4 General English classes are offered at
Farronshoneen Community Centre, near
schools and nursery (4).
Most of our students stay in Manor
Village Apartments (5).
