Osama Bin Laden Execution
Inside the Execution of Osama Bin Laden Osama Bin Laden was the most wanted terrorist in the
world last saw the barrel of a United States Navy Seal. The master mind was an al–Qaida leader
known for some of the greatest attacks of terrorism in the world. This wasn't your average person,
Osama was smart. He never had contact with the outside world, he casted threats though unknown,
unanimous, untraceable, devices. The United States tracked him for years, he ended up being know
for the greatest attacks of terrorism in the world. Osama Bin Laden started the al–Qaida group. In
addition, Bin Laden embraced the belief of jihad which lead him to creating al–Qaida in 1988.
Osama thought Muslims should stir up in holy war and try to create one Islamic State. Bin Laden
wanted to prove that Americans would not be "master of this world," he believed it was al–Qaida.
The al–Qaida group started leaving their mark. Killing hundreds, they were responsible for the
largest act of terrorism on U.S soil. In September 9th, 2001, the New York's World Trade Center was
hit. As a result, the United ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After years of hard work, the day had come where American heroes had to do what needed to be
done. United States Navy SEAL Team Six is the most elite group of soldiers. "What sets SEALs
apart is our diversity in terms of the environments in which we operate," said Captain Duncan
Smith. President Obama authorized Operation Geronimo. The operation sent two teams of SEALs
into Abbotabad, Pakistan by Blackhawk Helicopters. The helicopters to hovered over Bin Laden's
compound dropping seals inside. One helicopter had engine failure inside the compound. The
SEALs found Osama. The soldiers ordered for him to surrender, Bin Laden was then shot dead. He
was shot twice, once in the chest and once in his forehead. The soldiers left Pakistan with Osama

The Unjustified Attack
"One cannot understand the scale of the son's ambition without appreciating his father's
accomplishment.(71)" These words from The Looming Tower by Lawrence Wright conveys how
Osama Bin Laden, the mastermind behind the horrible events of 9/11, was greatly influenced by his
father. His father Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden was a very strict parent and raised his children
under a rigid religious and moral code. This had an everlasting impact on Osama Bin Laden's
idealistic views as a Muslim and caused him to dislike anyone who disagreed with him. This came
at the expense of Americans on September 11th, 2001, when terrorists led by Osama bin Laden

His father, being a self–made construction billionaire, strived to have his children accomplish as
much as he did. He was also a religious fundamentalist, teaching his children the ways and beliefs of
the Muslim faith. He dealt with his children, especially his sons, as if they were adults, and
demanded they become confident and self–sufficient at an early age. After his parents got divorced,
Osama spent most of his childhood living with his mother and her new husband. In 1967,
Mohammed died an unfortunate death in a plane crash. The death of Osama's father left a greater
impact on Osama than most people realize. His father–being a self– made billionaire– set the bar
very high for Osama and his brothers. Osama bin Laden said himself, "I want to be like my father. I
will work day and night with no rest.(95)" This drew the path for Osama's

Osama Bin Laden Influence
In response to growing Western influence in the Middle East, Osama bin Laden formed al–Qaeda, a
global militant Sunni Islamist Organization, in 1988. The terrorist activities of this group resulted in
the creation of America's Operation Neptune Spear which successfully led to his capture and death
in 2011. Osama bin Laden was born on March 10, 1957 to Mohammed bin Laden and Hamida
Ghanem. His father was a Saudi millionaire, however, his mother was only a slave to the bin Laden
family when Osama was born. In 1962, Saudi Arabia banned all forms of slavery, enabling Osama
to become more part of the bin Laden family. In addition, as more U.S. troops began to occupy
countries in the Middle East, extremists like bin Laden were infuriated and declared a jihad, or holy
war, on the United States. After al–Qaeda was formed and initiated a number of terror attacks
against Americans, including the 9/11 acts, the United States launched an operation to eliminate
their number one enemy (PBS, 1).
In short, there are two major events that led to Osama bin Laden's terrorist views: the death of his
father in 1967, when he was only ten years old. This event brought Osama bin Laden closer ... Show

After al–Qaeda was formed and the initiation of the 9/11 plans and attacks, bin Laden set an
undeniable manhunt upon himself. Despite the warnings, 9/11 was a very unexpected terrorist attack
considering that the United States hadn't been attacked on its land in more than half a century. They
hadn't seen any blood spilled during war on their own soil since 136 years earlier. It was almost
impossible for the United States to be prepared for this attack because it had a very peaceful history
overall within its borders for the years leading up to the attacks. However, the U.S. responded
correctly, and less than ten years later Navy SEALS captured the man who took thousands of lives,

Osama bin Laden's hatred towards the United States drove him to do horrifying and unreasonable
things. This is one example of why I believe mankind in inherently evil.
"The human world, it's a mess.." (Sebastian) This quote said by Sebastian the crab from the movie
The Little Mermaid. And the reason I chose to open up this essay with it is because it's true. The
human world is corrupted and full of sin, lust, pride, selfishness, hatred, jealousy, arrogance,
rudeness, and so many other evil things.
There are many people I can use as an example to support my argument. But Osama bin Laden
stood out to me the most. Not only did he kill thousands of people, he planned the whole entire thing
out, to every detail. He also didn't feel remorse for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

This small group he originally started had begun to expand. In 1998, Osama led attacks in Kenya
and Tanzania. These bombings are known today as the Embassy Bombings. This was what caught
the attention of the American population. After noticing Osama's group as a threat President Clinton
ordered retaliation missiles against Afghanistan. (Bodansky)
When you say Osama bin laden people immediately associate the name with the 9/11 attacks. This
man was responsible for it. On September 11, 2001 nineteen hijackers took over four flights. Their
targets were The World Trade Center in New York City and The Pentagon near Washington, D.C.
At around 8:45am the first plane hit the North Tower. Killing about 1,400 people. When people saw
this they immediately thought it was just a mistake. Then at 9:03am the second plane crashes into
the South Tower. As soon as this happened people began to understand that this was no accident. At
9:37am Flight 77 crashes into the Pentagon. It is safe to say that these attacks caused mass chaos.
Approximately 2,606 people were killed in the Tower attacks and all 64 passengers and 125
employees were killed in the Pentagon attack.
According to bin Laden, "The reason for killing Americans was because of the 'jihad', which means
religious war. Bin laden stated, the U.S as the "worst civilization by history of mankind." He went

Brief History Of Osama Bin Laden
History of Osama Bin Laden Osama Bin Laden was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was the 17th
of 52 children his father Mohammed Bin Laden had. With him being young, in school and married
like most Saudi men, he joined the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood. Islam was more than a religion to
Bin Laden. It shaped his beliefs and influenced by Abdullah Azzam that all Muslims should move
up in holy war to create a single Islamic state. During this time, the Soviet troops invaded
Afghanistan in 1979, Bin Laden and Azzam came together to form a group with intentions to engage
in the resistance. "In 1988, Bin Laden created a new group called al–Qaida that would focus on acts
of terrorism instead of military campaigns." However, the western Saudi Royal

Background Information : Osama Bin Laden
2. Background Information
2.1. Childhood
Osama bin Laden was born in 1957 in Saudi Arabia's capital, Riyadh. He was one of around 50
children fathered by Mohammad bin Laden, a Yemeni immigrant who owned the largest
construction company in Saudi Arabia. (Johnson & Rowen, n.d.)
His mother, Hamida al–Attas, married Mohammad bin Laden when she was twenty–two and
according to many sources she was his eleventh wife. (Zalman, n.d.) His father died in a helicopter
accident in 1969 when Osama bin Laden was eleven and he ended up inheriting a huge sum of
money from the father. (The Telegraph, 2012)
He attended school in Saudi Arabia. In 1970, at the age of 13 he started to attend Al–Thager Model
School which was one of the more prestigious schools in the country. He later went on to study in
the management and economics faculty at the King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. (Palmer, 2011)
2.2. Exposure to Islamic teachings
His father, Mohammad bin Laden, was a devoted Muslim and his children had to obey the religious
code that was observed by him. Osama bin Laden thus grew up in an environment where Muslim
teachings was a norm. Furthermore, during his time in secondary and university, he joined the
Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Brotherhood was seen as a trend by his peers during that period
of time. (Frontline, n.d.)

Invasion Of Osama Bin Laden
The invasion of Afghanistan (October 2001 – December 2014) The invasion was triggered by the
September 11 attacks. It was intended to target terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden's al–Qaida
organization, which was based in the country, as well as the extreme fundamentalist Taliban
government that had ruled most of the country. Taliban is the ultraconservative political and
religious faction that ruled Afghanistan.
Barack Obama, the president in 2008, said this:
"We did not ask for this fight. On September 11, 2001, nineteen men hijacked four airplanes and
used them to murder nearly 3,000 people. They struck at our military and economic nerve centers.

Osama Bin Laden Good Or Bad
Everyone knows who Osama Bin Laden is and about his horrendous lasting impact on our country
and our planet, but have you ever wondered why someone would do something so awful? Osama
Bin Laden became the world's most wanted man because of his early life education, the forming of
Al Qaeda, and his attacks on the United States in 2001. Bin Laden grew up in a good, very
successful home, and then moved onto one of the most prestigious high schools in Jedda and was
very successful. It was through an exclusive Islamic study group with a teacher where Osama
learned "the principles of violent jihad" and that the Arab world should go by those rules "even if it
meant supporting death and destruction" (Osama bin laden). These extreme views may have never

Osama Bin Laden Ideology
Osama Bin Laden was one of the most remarkable terrorist leaders in the world. His tactics of
manipulation and philosophy on his engagement of targets of opportunity was like no other. His
principle of creating an Islamic Empire by taking advantage of Islamic countries was the foundation
of his evil plan to retaliate against The United States. It is important to emphasize the origin on how
Bin Laden came with the idea to attack our Homeland. After the Cold War, the retreat of Russia
from Afghanistan was seen as a victory against the infidels for those who defy their Islamic
Religion. This conflict made Bin Laden to solidify his idea of creating a Holy War against the so
called Crusaders, which are basically other individuals who believe in

Osama bin Laden, who was born into a self–made affluent Saudi Arabian family with a strong
religious and moral background. After becoming discontent with the world around him, bin Laden
began to seek a world with pure Islamic law not influenced by western powers. After the creation of
al Qaeda, he used his business background, ambitious nature and key religious messages to
influence the actions of his followers.
The creation a resilient global terrorist network relies on the same fundamental building blocks as a
corporate business, from organization to strategy. Each company has set leadership, goals, and the
necessity of funding to operate. While creating the now infamous al Qaeda terrorist network, Osama

This requires a commanding presence that fuels the discontent of the people to further the
organizations objectives. Following the 1970 Russian invasion, there were many grievances that
were not being addressed by the Middle Eastern governments and Osama bin Laden became a
mythological voice of the people. He was able to wrap himself in the imagery of the prophet
Muhammed and used a media campaign to spread his message of a strong Islamic state free of
western influence (Graham, 2011, para. 9). Bin Laden spoke persuasively about issues that his
followers could relate rooted in Islam to help blend in a familiar foundation. It didn't matter if the
message involved the killing of innocent people, so long as it helped everyone achieve the end result
they hoped for and could not attain without the freedom fighter bin Laden. He promised to create a
world community of Muslim and rid the Middle East of corrupt regimes carrying out the bidding of
the west (Graham, 2011, para.

Osama Bin Laden: Changing The World
Osama Bin Laden's actions and those of his followers have changed the world in a very frightening
way. On September 11,2001, members of al–Qaeda took action against our nation in the most
unforgivable way you can imagine. The U.S. is considered to be the strongest, most powerful and
secure country in the world, but on that fateful day, our nation's sense of security was forever
tarnished. It is tragic to think that an ignoramus who can learn how to crash a plane into a building
could pose a potential threat to the world. Osama bin Laden's assassination happened because he not
only implanted fear into the lives of all Americans but also because we could no longer feel safe

(CNN News) After al–Qaeda lost their leader they started to die down. Then just when you thought
it would not get any worse than al–Qaeda, it did. A group known as ISIS led by Abu Bakr al–
Baghdadi, a fundamentalist Islamic leader who is said to have a far more organized and powerful
military than existed under al–Qaeda and Osama bin Laden came about. This group followed the
beliefs of Al–Qaeda; so I believe that al–Qaeda thought about a bigger and better way to come back
against America.
The Killing of Osama Bin Laden, the master behind the attacks of 9/11, was a turning point in
history because it took down the leaders of Al–Qaeda and it allowed America to gain more ground
on the fight against terrorism. Forty–nine years ago, a new kind of evil was brought into this world.

The Effectiveness of the Decapitation of Osama bin Laden
May 1, 2011 was a momentous night for Americans; the hunt for Osama bin Laden had been going
on for nearly ten years. When President Obama announced bin Laden's death late that night, the
nation celebrated the end of the war on terror. Up until that point, bin Laden had been the face of
terrorism around the world. While the majority of Americans were joyful at the news of his death,
others questioned the value of his removal. Was the decapitation of Osama bin Laden as the leader
of Al Qaeda effective? Was it worth ten years of concentrated effort and resources? Some scholars
would argue that his death ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Zawahiri, on the other hand, has a rigid and argumentative style of leadership. Because bin Laden
was the voice and stimulus behind Al Qaeda, some scholars believed his absence might also lead to
lowered recruitment and less financial support (Al–Masri et al.).
Although bin Laden was an inspirational leader, Al Qaeda is a religious, separatist organization
whose ideology resonates within a wide group of people in the Middle East. Bin Laden's spiritual
teachings brought in members, but he was not their prime–recruiting tool. If Al Qaeda had revolved
entirely around bin Laden's personal logic and ideals it would have collapsed with him, but because
of their broad ideology Al Qaeda, has been able to stay strong.
Throughout the search for bin Laden American leaders came to the conclusion he was more
symbolically important than operationally important to his followers. Because bin Laden was
continually on the run, he could not be relied upon for the day–to–day operations of Al Qaeda
(Baker et al.). With its leaders being the subject of a global manhunt, Al Qaeda had to adapt in order
to survive. This led to the development of a decentralized governing system, with a bottom–up
approach through its franchise groups. In fact, aside from Zawahiri, bin Laden's chosen successor,
very few Al Qaeda members who operated directly under bin Laden remain. In just the past four
years the United States has killed four of the top five leaders in Al Qaeda: bin Laden,

A Brief Biography of Osama bin Laden
One of the world's deadliest terrorists, Osama bin Laden, has cause havoc throughout the world by
committing terror acts carried out by his Islamic extremist group, Al– Qaeda. Bin Laden has caused
many problems throughout the world by his terrorism and this all came to an end on May 2, 2011.
Seal Team Six was sent into his bunker and put an end to his life and his 10–year hide out after the
9/11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center. Osama has been the leader of Al–Qaeda since 1988
and since then has committed numerous amounts of terror attacks on all parts of the world. Osama
bin Laden has developed over time as a leader of Al–Qaeda, and through his beliefs of Muslim
brotherhood, he developed into an extreme Islamic terrorist.
When Osama bin Laden was a child, he developed early understanding for religion. His father,
Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden, a billionaire, was a highly evolved man running a billon dollar
company and made many connections through this. He hosted gatherings during the Hajj season
(pilgrimage to Mecca) , with Islamic scholars and leaders of Muslim movements attending to make
worldly connections. Osama was very religiously committed as a child and he took on a responsibly
for the Islam religion at a young age. At the age of thirteen Osama's father dies and his family
inherits his money. Osama's older brother continued to host gatherings at their household to make

Osama Bin Laden Essay
During the 1990s, Osama bin Laden, a fundamentalist militant and leader of Al–Qaeda, issued
several fatwas (legal edicts) opposed to the stationing of US troops in Saudi Arabia. By middle of
1996, Al–Qaeda was barely functioning as a terrorist organization, and had only thirty members.
Facing irrelevance and anxious that he was losing his leadership role over Islamist militants
worldwide, bin Laden, announced a "blessed jihad" to oppose the United States and its Western
allies on August 23, 1996 (Bruce, et al., 2005). As part of this jihad, bin Laden declared war on the
United States, which he intended to recruit new members for Al– Qaeda. This effort failed.

Along with Osama bin Laden, the following also signed the charter: Ayman al–Zawahri for Egyptian

effort did not generate significant Islamist support. Al–Qaeda, however, at this time was well
funded, technologically sophisticated and had a fairly large following of loyal militants.
Before the U.S. Embassy attacks in 1998, Taha began distancing himself from coalition. Bin Laden
threatened the United States stating that, "The coming days will guarantee . . . that America will face
a black fate. Strikes will continue from everywhere, and Islamic groups will appear one after the
other to fight American interests." He further said, "we do not differentiate between those

Osama Bin Laden Influence
It is very agreeable to say that Osama Bin Laden was the CEO of all CEO when it came to
managing his terrorist people (Hoffman 1999, 2). Considering his enormous success his influence
among them was boundless. He could easily have been the "face" for western terror. What he was
able to accomplish was quite an accomplishment, and until today the western world, specifically
America, continue to be in great danger because of his success. I believe he had incomparable
attributes. We all know that he fought for the preservation of all Muslim nations by defying Western
influence because he believed that any Western influence is corrupting Islam, and that any American
should be ousted out of the holy land. This is a Muslim duty. We also know that Muslims believe ...

In addition, people want to do anything for a great leader. They get great satisfaction doing
something for the leader. Bin Laden was that kind of leader. He had a leadership style that fostered
creative approaches. He cultivated ideas from all levels – from top–down and down up, and funded
proposals that he found promising (Hoffman 1999, 2). This style encourages innovation and undying
followership. His other key attribute was that he had great understanding in management. He
managed his people just like how a successful executive would. Hoffman asserted that Bin Laden
applied the techniques of business administration and modern management he learned both at the
university and in his family's construction business in running a terrorist organization (1999, 2). He
ensured that he and his followers were on the same page so he laid out a clear vision, defined
specific goals and ensured that they are carried out (Hoffman 1999, 2). I believe this made his
followers feeling like the hand of God. His final attribute was that his followers saw him as a hero.

Why Is Osama Bin Laden Justified
The assassination of Osama Bin Laden was justified because he murdered thousands of innocent
people, and trained and armed other terrorist organizations. However, some think that his
assassination was not justified because he was killing for his religion.
We all remember the terrorist attacks of 9/11. It was a bright and sunny morning when a commercial
airliner crashed into one of the twin towers. Everyone thought it was an accident, it was all over the
news, but in mere seconds, the second plane hit. At that moment, everyone knew what had
happened, the most devastating terrorist attack in U.S history had just occurred. By the time
everything was said and done, America was confused and filled with rage, and when Osama Bin
Laden and his terrorist organization, Al–Qaida, claimed responsibility, we were ready for payback.
If there is one thing that Toby Keith got right, it's that the US of A does not take kindly to being
attacked by terrorists and so, we clashed with our enemies in the Middle East for over a decade, but
that's another story. Osama Bin Laden had been conducting terrorist attacks ever since the 90's, like
when the U.S embassy in Kenya was bombed in 1998, but we didn't take action until after we got hit
on American soil.

Osama Bin Laden Research Paper
In a time when George Bush and Al Gore were forced by the Supreme Court to end the recount in
Florida and later, President Bush would call for a War on Terror, America was becoming more
defensive both internally and internationally. It is in this context that a young man named Osama bin
Laden was studying in Saudi Arabia and not behaving as morally as one may have hoped, drinking
and partying. If Osama bin Laden were to die due to alcohol poisoning in his adolescence in 1976,
al–Qaeda would not be formed. Four significant effects of Osama bin Laden's death in the 70s

After the death of Osama bin Laden, his immediate family is hit hard emotionally and attacks
western culture, specifically partying and drinking, and uses their money to advertise their outrage
with what drinking and partying did to their son and with a net worth of about $7 billion (Frank,

opinion, a significant number of Saudi Arabians follow and start to stray from western culture and
the temptations it holds when trying to live a "traditional" Muslim lifestyle. A second short term
effect of Osama bin Laden dying from alcohol poisoning is bin Laden's future colleague forming an
Islamic Extremist group without bin Laden's assistance. Abu 'Ubaidah al–Banshiri, was born in May
of 1950 in Cairo, Egypt and had strong feelings against Americans interfering with the politics in the
Arabian peninsula. Al–Banshiri formed the group al–Qaeda with other men who felt the same. Al–

The Bombing Of Osama Bin Laden
The 9–11 tragedies changed the lives of the world and united our
Country. The terrorist group that planned the attacks on the
United States was al–Qaeda. The leader of al–Qaeda was Osama bin
Laden. Osama bin Laden was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and then he would move to Afghanistan
where he would start al–Qaeda. Al–
Qaeda planned carefully in the attacks on the Unites States by sending nineteen militants over a
period of several years to keep our suspicions down. They also held their meeting all across the
globe. The planning meetings were held in Malaysia, they took flying lessons in the United States,
and the leaders of al–Qaeda were in Hamburg, Germany. This is how many militants got over to the
United States undetected especially the lead hijackers Mohammed Atta who was on our "watch list".
He was the one who communicated with Osama Bin Laden over e–mail about when the attacks were
going to take place. This was just the preparation of what is about to come the United States' way.
On September 11, 2001, nineteen hijackers bordered four domestic airplanes on the East Coast. Two
San Francisco bound planes would crash into the Twin Towers. At 8:46 am American Airlines flight
eleven crashed into the North Tower with maximum fuel. The United States first thought is that this

movement. Bin Laden is the first leader and forefather of Al Qaeda terrorist movement that is based
on extreme Islamic beliefs to execute political and religious purposes. Many Americans applauded
as justice was served to the man who planned the attacks of 9/11, which slayed thousands of
innocent Americans almost fifteen years ago. Many people decided to celebrate the declaration of
Osama bin Laden's death by waving American flags and singing "God Bless America" as the news
coverage of his killing appeared throughout the media.
However, this celebration caused skirmish between those who thought it was right to celebrate a
murder, and those who believed in exultation at the end of the war. In the article "Why We Celebrate
a Killing", the author exposed his ideas of why it was constructive to rejoice Osama bin Laden's
death as it united a diverse population, allowed for closure to those affected and increased pride in
the American government. He also touched upon a few reasons ... Show more content on

The article "The Aftershocks of bin Laden" discusses that in war, the issue of morale is critical. To
break the enemy is to break his morale. The killing of Osama bin Laden by U.S. Special Operations
forces in a firefight north of the Pakistani capital of Islamabad delivered a pivotal boost to American
morale and a blow to the morale of al Qaeda, with repercussions that are being felt worldwide. Bin
Laden did not mysteriously fade into oblivion, simply never to be heard from again, fueling
conjecture about his fate, and thus giving hope to the radicalized Sunni Muslim faithful; nor did he
die a natural death. He was hunted down and killed. This fact cannot be overestimated. The

Osama Bin Laden: A Villain
Osama Bin Laden was considered a villain because he was the leader of a terrorist organization who
committed horrifying attacks, but to his people, he was viewed as a hero, leader, and role model.
Mohamed Ali Sauti, a Yemeni student said, "Osama is a hero here because he is the only one who
stands up to the U.S.–who isn't afraid of them." The people of Al–Qaeda perceived Americans as
strong and intimidating, but Bin Laden was the first one to stand up and show his people that they
could compete with the Americans. Even though these actions portray him as a role model for his
people, he encouraged evil by teaching them that killing innocent people for revenge was
acceptable. While he had good leadership qualities, his intentions were murderous

The World Of Osama Bin Laden
"Tonight, I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted
an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda, and a terrorist who's responsible
for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women, and children." –Barack Obama If that did not
give you chills, then I do not know what will. Knowing that Osama Bin Laden is dead is one of
America's biggest reliefs. I never thought that this day will come. I chose Osama Bin's speech to the
nation about Osama Bin Laden being dead. In this paper, I am going to research and critically
examine and evaluate by using the five classical "canons" of rhetoric. I will explain into detail
Obama's speech dealing with the invention, organization, style, delivery, and memory. May 1, 2011
Barack Obama presented a speech to the American nation and the world that Osama Bin Laden was
dead. Obama did this speech to inform the nation on the big news, but also to approve of his nation
and other nations that helped find and were able to capture and have him killed. As he speaks to the
nation, he stands next to an American flag. This suggests that he is proud of his nation and thankful
for the country that he is president of. Obama did not only just state that Osama Bin Laden was
dead; he brought the audience through a long journey on how they found Bin Laden. Invention is
tied to the rhetorical appeal of logos, being oriented to what an author would say rather than

Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden was a Saudi Arabian that came from a very wealthy
family. He was born the seventeenth child out of fifty–two to the family of billionaire Mohammed

Terrorism Paper
In 1988, Osama Bin Laden founded what is the most widely know terrorist network today, Al
Qaeda. It started off small with only three members, but it grew vastly over the years. This is the
organization that held the blame for the September 11th attacks on the United States, along with
numerous other outbreaks against the world. In 1992 after establishing Al Qaeda, Osama Bin Laden
was banished from Saudi Arabia, he then founded a new base in Afghanistan, where he declared a
war against the United States, beginning a series of bombings and attacks. They were the ones
responsible for the attack on the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in
Washington D.C. killing thousands of loved people, also for the bombings on things such as
nightclubs, the Yemen Hotel, and a navy warship. Osama Bin Laden was one of the then most
wanted fugitives and terrorists for his involvement in the U.S. embassy bombings. Even though the
leader, Osama Bin Laden, was killed in 2011, the terrorist network still exists. Two days after his
death, a new leader was elected. Osama Bin Laden was not the only one to be killed though, an FBI
agent shot the leader of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and the leader of the Al Qaeda in East
Africa was shot by a Policeman. Despite these killings, the Al Qaeda network is powerful and is still
growing in the amount of their supporters. Al Qaeda is still a global threat because of their global

Osama Bin Laden Thesis
From a western perspective, Osama Bin Laden in nothing more than an inhuman murderer, therefore
no one spends time to investigate why he does what he does, and for what reasons thousands of
people sacrificed their lives for his cause, however, a quick glimpse through his excerpt shows that
he does have an ideology that can be very appealing to a large number of people, any person that
feels targeted by the United States can potentially find his claims to be persuasive, therefore, Bin
Laden is not simply an insane man, he is smart man that was successful in gathering thousands

Bin Laden, throughout his piece, frequently used Ibn Taymiyya quotes to add a religious legitimacy
to his claim, what's problematic is that Ibn Taymiyyah was a controversial Sufi that was imprisoned
several times, one of which was for being accused of anthropomorphism (ascribing human
characteristics to God) and for having criticized, contemptuously, the legitimacy of dogmatic
theology (Laoust). Ibn Taymiyya clearly stands in opposition to al–Qaeda's "Salafists jihadists"
doctrine, which empathizes the principle of the absoluteness of God and his image. One of Ibn
Taymiyya's quotes Bin Laden used was "if the danger to religion from not fighting is greater than
that of fighting, then it is a duty to fight even if the intentions of some of the fighters are not pure"
(Zaman 443), this quote goes against Prophet Muhammad's teachings and emphasis on good
intention, he once said "actions are according to intentions, and everyone will get what was
intended", in this case, if some of the fighters would participate in fighting the USA for the sake of
killing soldiers (bad intention), then they are simply considered murders, and such actions should
obviously not be encouraged in the name of religion, which invalidates Ibn Taymiyya's

The Terror Of Osama Bin Laden
On September 11, 2001 Osama Bin Laden, leader of the Al–Qa'ida terrorist group, ordered for 19 of
his men to hijack four planes. Their plan was to attack certain points in the United States of
America. The attacks were suppose to be on New York's World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the
white house. Many innocent Americans and other nationalities were murdered by the terrorist that
day. This day struck many years of conflict for both side with many years of war. Osama Bin Laden
was responsible for the attacks on September 11, 2001. He was the one that order the four groups of
terrorist to hijack and crash the plans into the twin towers, the pentagon and the other site that wasn't
reached. Bin Laden had a very precise plan to execute this attack on America that he had planned for
many months. This plan was misunderstood by Americans. They had no idea why someone would
want to attack America. America was the greatest country in the world why would anyone want to
attack it. They needed to know what was the motive of Osama Bin Laden. The Americans wanted
his head, but this wasn't the climax for this conflict. Those attacks on September 11th left a lot of
questions for Americans. All of them wondering why and how this could happen. To them they were
indestructible and no one could ever harm them. Well that is what they would have like to think.

The Terror Of Osama Bin Laden
"A declaration of Jihad," on August 23, 1996 deals with Osama bin Laden order to sanction a
defensive war (jihad) after he gained refuge in Afghanistan. Osama bin Laden is a well–known
terrorist and is the leader and founder of al–Qaeda. In 1979, the origins of al–Qaeda can be traced
back to this year because that is when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan. Originally, Osama bin
Laden used al–Qaeda as a way to enlist Muslim into the resistance. After, the Soviets left not shortly

United States). He elaborates by recounting the amount of Muslim blood has spilled across the
Middle East and Asia because of their enemies. Bin Laden progresses by saying the reason of the

Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden
Osama bin Laden founded al–Qaeda in 1988 with the goal to rid Muslims countries of western
influences and replace their governments with Islamic regimes. Born in an extraordinarily wealthy
family, Osama bin Laden used his family's money to found the terroristic organization. Abdullah
Yusus Azzam was an influential Palestinian Sunni Islamic scholar who mentored bin Laden and
persuaded him to come to Afghanistan. The main goals of al–Qaeda are to: spread Islam through the
world with or without the consent of the occupants, destroy Israel and it's affiliates, terrorize the
United States of America, financially bleed the United States, and fight to defend the rights of
Muslims. The organization's numerous attacks against the United States, and all of humanity (except
the Muslims) have changed the world's perception of terrorism. There are numerous religious
affiliates of al–Qaeda, some of which include, Sunni Islamism, Takfirism, and Qutbism. There are
very few supporters of al–Qaeda's beliefs and actions. Osama bin Laden issued a fatwa, a ruling
point of Islamic law given by a recognized authority, which eventually amounted to a public
declaration of war against the United States and its allies. There is a tremendous amount of
confusion about the connections between the Taliban and al–Qaeda. Although the two have ties,
they are completely separate and distinct groups who have different goals. Starting in the late 1980s,
an international terrorist network, al Qaeda, changed the

Who Killed Osama Bin Laden
Yes, the mission killing Osama bin Laden did bring justice to many americans, but did it really have
a positive effect on the war against al Qaeda? The planning of the mission started in approximately
2007, and bin Laden was not killed until May 2, 2011. Since the mission, al Qaeda control has
spread, and classified information has been released regarding the mission. The mission killing bin
Laden has positively and negatively affect America and al Qaeda. In 2007, United States
intelligence uncovers the name of one of bin Laden's most trusted couriers. From there, intelligence
sources worked to identify the area of pakistan where the courier was living. U.S. intelligence leads
to find the home of the courier and his family. They suggest that this could be bin Laden due to the
fact that the family should not legitimately be able to afford an estate as this one. Other reasons such
as the security of the compound pushes the cia to believe that bin Laden may be living there. Then
in February 2011, U.S. officials consider the evidence strong enough to begin planning a mission.

A degree in business administration seems to be light–years away from the subject of global

position in life: terrorist CEO. A combination of factors led to his rise as the head of al–Qaeda:
personal charisma, militant religious fervor, educational background, and a well–funded bank
account. To his disciples, bin Laden is portrayed as a humble, pious man. When in view of his
followers, he was careful to cultivate an aura of humility. But that was just the image he wanted to
portray to his followers. His narcissistic personality needed devout followers, which was realized
through his radical version of Islam. He preyed upon the desperation of the masses and their
oppression to captivate his followers. His warped world–view twisted the religion into an acceptable

Osama Bin Laden Beliefs
Growing up on the Red Sea littoral, American ideas and culture were never far away from me.
However when I moved to the U.S. in the eighth grade I was shocked that my peers laughed and

Osama Bin Laden is the reason for the misconstrued view of Islam that is currently seen in the
world. In my opinion the origin of Bin Laden is similar to a prominent religious figure in that of the
Buddha. Both came from affluent lives, but abandoned it all for their beliefs. However Bin Laden
spread the doctrine of negativity, and even worse a false ideal. An ideal that has sadly influenced
many other radicals such as Boko Haram, Isis, Taliban, and more.
Islam is a very peaceful religion, and it's where I've learned to become the most humane version of

The master mind was an al–Qaida leader known for some of the greatest attacks of terrorism in the world. This wasn't your average person, Osama was smart. He never had contact with the outside world, he casted threats though unknown, unanimous, untraceable, devices. The United States tracked him for years, he ended up being know for the greatest attacks of terrorism in the world. Osama Bin Laden started the al–Qaida group. In addition, Bin Laden embraced the belief of jihad which lead him to creating al–Qaida in 1988. Osama thought Muslims should stir up in holy war and try to create one Islamic State. Bin Laden wanted to prove that Americans would not be "master of this world," he believed it was al–Qaida. The al–Qaida group started leaving their mark. Killing hundreds, they were responsible for the largest act of terrorism on U.S soil. In September 9th, 2001, the New York's World Trade Center was hit. As a result, the United ... President Obama authorized Operation Geronimo. The operation sent two teams of SEALs into Abbotabad, Pakistan by Blackhawk Helicopters. The helicopters to hovered over Bin Laden's compound dropping seals inside. One helicopter had engine failure inside the compound. The SEALs found Osama. • 2. Osama Bin Laden: The Unjustified Attack Danny McNamee Dr. Jones Adv. Composition Period 8 January 6th, 2015 The Unjustified Attack "One cannot understand the scale of the son's ambition without appreciating his father's accomplishment.(71)" These words from The Looming Tower by Lawrence Wright conveys how Osama Bin Laden, the mastermind behind the horrible events of 9/11, was greatly influenced by his father. His father Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden was a very strict parent and raised his children under a rigid religious and moral code. This had an everlasting impact on Osama Bin Laden's idealistic views as a Muslim and caused him to dislike anyone who disagreed with him. This came at the expense of Americans on September 11th, 2001, when terrorists led by Osama bin Laden drove two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His father, being a self–made construction billionaire, strived to have his children accomplish as much as he did. He was also a religious fundamentalist, teaching his children the ways and beliefs of the Muslim faith. He dealt with his children, especially his sons, as if they were adults, and demanded they become confident and self–sufficient at an early age. After his parents got divorced, Osama spent most of his childhood living with his mother and her new husband. In 1967, Mohammed died an unfortunate death in a plane crash. The death of Osama's father left a greater impact on Osama than most people realize. His father–being a self– made billionaire– set the bar very high for Osama and his brothers. Osama bin Laden said himself, "I want to be like my father. I will work day and night with no rest.(95)" This drew the path for Osama's ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Osama Bin Laden Influence In response to growing Western influence in the Middle East, Osama bin Laden formed al–Qaeda, a global militant Sunni Islamist Organization, in 1988. The terrorist activities of this group resulted in the creation of America's Operation Neptune Spear which successfully led to his capture and death in 2011. Osama bin Laden was born on March 10, 1957 to Mohammed bin Laden and Hamida Ghanem. His father was a Saudi millionaire, however, his mother was only a slave to the bin Laden family when Osama was born. In 1962, Saudi Arabia banned all forms of slavery, enabling Osama to become more part of the bin Laden family. In addition, as more U.S. troops began to occupy countries in the Middle East, extremists like bin Laden were infuriated and declared a jihad, or holy war, on the United States. After al–Qaeda was formed and initiated a number of terror attacks against Americans, including the 9/11 acts, the United States launched an operation to eliminate their number one enemy (PBS, 1). In short, there are two major events that led to Osama bin Laden's terrorist views: the death of his father in 1967, when he was only ten years old. This event brought Osama bin Laden closer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After al–Qaeda was formed and the initiation of the 9/11 plans and attacks, bin Laden set an undeniable manhunt upon himself. Despite the warnings, 9/11 was a very unexpected terrorist attack considering that the United States hadn't been attacked on its land in more than half a century. They hadn't seen any blood spilled during war on their own soil since 136 years earlier. It was almost impossible for the United States to be prepared for this attack because it had a very peaceful history overall within its borders for the years leading up to the attacks. However, the U.S. responded correctly, and less than ten years later Navy SEALS captured the man who took thousands of lives, in Operation Neptune ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Osama Bin Laden Osama bin Laden's hatred towards the United States drove him to do horrifying and unreasonable things. This is one example of why I believe mankind in inherently evil. "The human world, it's a mess.." (Sebastian) This quote said by Sebastian the crab from the movie The Little Mermaid. And the reason I chose to open up this essay with it is because it's true. The human world is corrupted and full of sin, lust, pride, selfishness, hatred, jealousy, arrogance, rudeness, and so many other evil things. There are many people I can use as an example to support my argument. But Osama bin Laden stood out to me the most. Not only did he kill thousands of people, he planned the whole entire thing out, to every detail. He also didn't feel remorse for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (Networks) This small group he originally started had begun to expand. In 1998, Osama led attacks in Kenya and Tanzania. These bombings are known today as the Embassy Bombings. This was what caught the attention of the American population. After noticing Osama's group as a threat President Clinton ordered retaliation missiles against Afghanistan. (Bodansky) When you say Osama bin laden people immediately associate the name with the 9/11 attacks. This man was responsible for it. On September 11, 2001 nineteen hijackers took over four flights. Their targets were The World Trade Center in New York City and The Pentagon near Washington, D.C. At around 8:45am the first plane hit the North Tower. Killing about 1,400 people. When people saw this they immediately thought it was just a mistake. Then at 9:03am the second plane crashes into the South Tower. As soon as this happened people began to understand that this was no accident. At 9:37am Flight 77 crashes into the Pentagon. It is safe to say that these attacks caused mass chaos. Approximately 2,606 people were killed in the Tower attacks and all 64 passengers and 125 employees were killed in the Pentagon attack. According to bin Laden, "The reason for killing Americans was because of the 'jihad', which means religious war. Bin laden stated, the U.S as the "worst civilization by history of mankind." With him being young, in school and married like most Saudi men, he joined the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood. Islam was more than a religion to Bin Laden. It shaped his beliefs and influenced by Abdullah Azzam that all Muslims should move up in holy war to create a single Islamic state. During this time, the Soviet troops invaded Afghanistan in 1979, Bin Laden and Azzam came together to form a group with intentions to engage in the resistance. Bin Laden grew up in a good, very successful home, and then moved onto one of the most prestigious high schools in Jedda and was very successful. His tactics of manipulation and philosophy on his engagement of targets of opportunity was like no other. His principle of creating an Islamic Empire by taking advantage of Islamic countries was the foundation of his evil plan to retaliate against The United States. It is important to emphasize the origin on how Bin Laden came with the idea to attack our Homeland. On September 11,2001, members of al–Qaeda took action against our nation in the most unforgivable way you can imagine. The U.S. is considered to be the strongest, most powerful and secure country in the world, but on that fateful day, our nation's sense of security was forever tarnished. It is tragic to think that an ignoramus who can learn how to crash a plane into a building could pose a potential threat to the world. When President Obama announced bin Laden's death late that night, the nation celebrated the end of the war on terror. Up until that point, bin Laden had been the face of terrorism around the world. While the majority of Americans were joyful at the news of his death, others questioned the value of his removal. Was the decapitation of Osama bin Laden as the leader of Al Qaeda effective? Zawahiri, on the other hand, has a rigid and argumentative style of leadership. Because bin Laden was the voice and stimulus behind Al Qaeda, some scholars believed his absence might also lead to lowered recruitment and less financial support (Al–Masri et al.). Although bin Laden was an inspirational leader, Al Qaeda is a religious, separatist organization whose ideology resonates within a wide group of people in the Middle East. Bin Laden's spiritual teachings brought in members, but he was not their prime–recruiting tool. If Al Qaeda had revolved entirely around bin Laden's personal logic and ideals it would have collapsed with him, but because of their broad ideology Al Qaeda, has been able to stay strong. Throughout the search for bin Laden American leaders came to the conclusion he was more symbolically important than operationally important to his followers. Because bin Laden was continually on the run, he could not be relied upon for the day–to–day operations of Al Qaeda (Baker et al.). With its leaders being the subject of a global manhunt, Al Qaeda had to adapt in order to survive. This led to the development of a decentralized governing system, with a bottom–up approach through its franchise groups. In fact, aside from Zawahiri, bin Laden's chosen successor, very few Al Qaeda members who operated directly under bin Laden remain. • 15. Osama Bin Laden Essay During the 1990s, Osama bin Laden, a fundamentalist militant and leader of Al–Qaeda, issued several fatwas (legal edicts) opposed to the stationing of US troops in Saudi Arabia. By middle of 1996, Al–Qaeda was barely functioning as a terrorist organization, and had only thirty members. Facing irrelevance and anxious that he was losing his leadership role over Islamist militants worldwide, bin Laden, announced a "blessed jihad" to oppose the United States and its Western allies on August 23, 1996 (Bruce, et al., 2005). As part of this jihad, bin Laden declared war on the United States, which he intended to recruit new members for Al– Qaeda. This effort failed. Al–Qaeda, however, at this time was well funded, technologically sophisticated and had a fairly large following of loyal militants. Before the U.S. Embassy attacks in 1998, Taha began distancing himself from coalition. Bin Laden threatened the United States stating that, "The coming days will guarantee . . . that America will face a black fate. Considering his enormous success his influence among them was boundless. He could easily have been the "face" for western terror. What he was able to accomplish was quite an accomplishment, and until today the western world, specifically America, continue to be in great danger because of his success. I believe he had incomparable attributes. We all know that he fought for the preservation of all Muslim nations by defying Western influence because he believed that any Western influence is corrupting Islam, and that any American should be ousted out of the holy land. His other key attribute was that he had great understanding in management. He managed his people just like how a successful executive would. Hoffman asserted that Bin Laden applied the techniques of business administration and modern management he learned both at the university and in his family's construction business in running a terrorist organization (1999, 2). He ensured that he and his followers were on the same page so he laid out a clear vision, defined specific goals and ensured that they are carried out (Hoffman 1999, 2). • 18. Why Is Osama Bin Laden Justified The assassination of Osama Bin Laden was justified because he murdered thousands of innocent people, and trained and armed other terrorist organizations. However, some think that his assassination was not justified because he was killing for his religion. We all remember the terrorist attacks of 9/11. It was a bright and sunny morning when a commercial airliner crashed into one of the twin towers. Everyone thought it was an accident, it was all over the news, but in mere seconds, the second plane hit. At that moment, everyone knew what had happened, the most devastating terrorist attack in U.S history had just occurred. By the time everything was said and done, America was confused and filled with rage, and when Osama Bin Laden and his terrorist organization, Al–Qaida, claimed responsibility, we were ready for payback. If there is one thing that Toby Keith got right, it's that the US of A does not take kindly to being attacked by terrorists and so, we clashed with our enemies in the Middle East for over a decade, but that's another story. Osama Bin Laden had been conducting terrorist attacks ever since the 90's, like when the U.S embassy in Kenya was bombed in 1998, but we didn't take action until after we got hit on American soil. Ibn Taymiyya clearly stands in opposition to al–Qaeda's "Salafists jihadists" doctrine, which empathizes the principle of the absoluteness of God and his image. Born in an extraordinarily wealthy family, Osama bin Laden used his family's money to found the terroristic organization. Abdullah Yusus Azzam was an influential Palestinian Sunni Islamic scholar who mentored bin Laden and persuaded him to come to Afghanistan. The main goals of al–Qaeda are to: spread Islam through the world with or without the consent of the occupants, destroy Israel and it's affiliates, terrorize the United States of America, financially bleed the United States, and fight to defend the rights of Muslims. The organization's numerous attacks against the United States, and all of humanity (except the Muslims) have changed the world's perception of terrorism. There are numerous religious affiliates of al–Qaeda, some of which include, Sunni Islamism, Takfirism, and Qutbism. There are very few supporters of al–Qaeda's beliefs and actions. Osama bin Laden issued a fatwa, a ruling point of Islamic law given by a recognized authority, which eventually amounted to a public declaration of war against the United States and its allies. • 36. Osama Bin Laden Beliefs Growing up on the Red Sea littoral, American ideas and culture were never far away from me. However when I moved to the U.S. in the eighth grade I was shocked that my peers laughed and antagonized my religious culture. Therefore, if I had converse with one person it would be the orchestrator of the terrible September 11th terrorist attacks. Osama Bin Laden is the reason for the misconstrued view of Islam that is currently seen in the world. In my opinion the origin of Bin Laden is similar to a prominent religious figure in that of the Buddha. Both came from affluent lives, but abandoned it all for their beliefs. However Bin Laden spread the doctrine of negativity, and even worse a false ideal. An ideal that has sadly influenced many other radicals such as Boko Haram, Isis, Taliban, and more. Islam is a very peaceful religion, and it's where I've learned to become the most humane version of myself. I would ask why would you knowingly ruin the credibility of billions of Muslims?
