Con<nuing  the  Pros  and  Cons  of  Audio-­‐ Visual  and  Course  Design  as  a  Obstacle     Technology  was  one  bar  to  distance  educa<on  for  school  officials.  Among  NCES  survey  respondents  who   weren't  planning  to  offer  distance  learning  within  three  years,  24%  felt  that  they  didn't  have  the   technological  infrastructure  necessary  to  successfully  support  online  schooling.   •  *(NOTE)   •  *Although  it’s  not  explicitly  made  men<on  of  the  technological  “Nuts  and   Bolts”  of  the  Audio  Video  Technologies  per  se,  the  fact  remains  that  it’s  a  given  that  it’s  part  of  the  percep<on   of  the  respondents  of  the  surveys  cited   Summa<on-­‐When  Audio-­‐Visual  Technologies  are  properly  used  in  a  Virtual  Learning  Environment,  many  Good   Outcomes  can  be  realized.  When  and  Where  it’s  been  a  difficulty  for  the  Public  and  Private  Ins<tu<ons  to   commit  to  the  design  and  implementa<on  of  Online  Course  Content  the  reasons  are  seldom  because  of  any   inherent  “glitches”  with  the  Audio-­‐Visual  Technologies  as  much  as  the  lack  of  financial  resources  or  the   perceived  conflict  with  the  Ins<tu<on’s  Mission  Statement.
