Notes on slide 1

Hi there and welcome to this webinar “Using Facebook for Recruitment”. My name is Thomas Shaw, and I am the Managing Director of Recruitment Directory. As one of Australia’s leading online recruitment specialists, I regularly consult to recruitment agencies, job boards, employers and advertising agencies on how to use online mediums such as Facebook for recruitment. Over the next hour or so, I plan to present this training session with a mix of basic and technical jargon. I will warn you now, you may get lost in the jargon, and I will provide links for you to follow up after the webinar. You can use this hour long training session towards your PD or professional development points. You may find it handy if you are logged into your Facebook account and can follow the links on the screen. This session will mostly cover theory and step through some examples. Unfortunately, due to user security and the constant updates in data feeds, I will be unable to step through any live examples on Facebook. My contact details are listed here if you have any problems. So lets get into the session.
