My story is not just story, it evokes feelings in
people related to poor and abandoned children. I
want to show people this dramatically increasing
problem. I want to engage audience with my film. I
consider it useless just to make a film about
nothing. At my view the film is a certain statement.
Media highly influences people’s opinions and
view. It is very powerful. So it is perfect
opportunity for us to show how important are some
things, in my case I chose problem of
adoption, that people don’t even consider much.
Initial Ideas

There is a Christmas preparation in the orphanage.
Little children are running around, decorating the
room and writing letters to Santa Claus. A little girl,
about 5 years old, is sitting in the middle of the
room. She is very sad. The girl draws a picture of her
holding hands of parents.

The girl is going to sleep. But before she sits on the
bed and looks at the picture, after she puts it under
the pillow and falls asleep.
A young married couple is sitting at the table. The
woman cries. Her husband is holding the picture of
their dead child. He says that everything will be
okay in the coming year and they will start a new
life.

The Christmas has come to the orphanage. Children are
laughing, dancing to christmas songs and unpacking their
little presents. Only the little girl, who is sitting under the
Christmas tree, is sad. She looks at the picture she has
drawn. Suddenly a teacher comes into the room with the
young married couple. They look at the girl and ask her
to show them the picture. The man picks her up, looks at
her and smiles. He wishes everyone merry christmas and
a happy new year and says that this is a true christmas
miracle. Finally a new family walks out of the room.

My movie originally meant to be held in the
orphanage. But it is very difficult because it is not so
easy to get a permission to make a movie there
unless it is a social advertising. So I was looking for a
school or a kindergarten were I can shoot my film.

My film is made during the Christmas period so I
decided that music also should resemble Christmas
motives.
