Jonathon Webb presented on enhanced transfer values and pension increase exchanges at a pensions conference, having completed over 41 liability reduction projects transferring over £100 million to members. 2. Of members who received independent financial advice on one project, over half transferred their pension benefits, with some taking all or part of the transfer value as cash and others using it to purchase an augmented annuity. 3. Independent financial advisors play an important role in helping members understand their options and make informed decisions, while also supporting the administration of the project.
