Here’s what the industry has to say:
I have been a regular visitor of Messe Frankfurt events such as Heimtextil and
Ambiente, for more than two decades. These events have been the leaders in
rolling out global Interior Décor & Home Furnishing trends. I see a lot of potential
in the Indian edition of these top-notch shows and I hope more companies come
forward with their unique product displays at Ambiente & Heimtextil India, so we
can meet them all in one go to discuss business.I would particularly like to meet
companies showcasing textiles, floor coverings, decorative accessories, lighting,
furniture and interior products.
– Vikas Dhingra, Managing Partner, Speciality Merchandising Services Pvt. Ltd.
Today, the key word for the Home Furnishing & Interior Décor Industry is product
innovation. Inspired by Indian home furnishings industry that is defined by its
ethnicity, colour vibrancy, intricate carvings, weaves, motifs, buyers today are
looking at sourcing a variety of products of Indian origin. This is a good time for
Indian manufacturers to encash on this.
New smocking styles, velvets, laces, decorative pillows, quilts, block printing
are in high demand. I am particularly interested in sourcing what will make
interesting gift packs for the festive season through Heimtextil India.
– Dr. Nidhi Shankar, Green Linen Pvt. Ltd.
I visited the debut edition of Ambiente and Heimtextil India in 2014 and I sourced
for a lot of home Décor Products! The shows are a very good platform to meet
with smaller manufacturers and distributors who have very creative ideas!
This year, I am expecting to explore different and creative Home décor in the
categories of Wooden Décor and ceremics.
– Vikram Chitnis, Business Head, Shoppers Stop
When it comes to home textiles and decor, Delhi holds 70% of the buying
capacity while the rest of India holds the remaining 30%. This makes Delhi the
best place to host a trade show. Serious players in the Indian and international
industry will not miss this platform. I am looking forward to associating with
different brands and ranges in bedding, furnishings and floorings categories,
that can add further value to our business. Also it gives a great platform to our
organisation to have an international recognition and we feel honoured being
associated with a brand like Heimtextil.
– Jagdish Khandelwal, Owner, Jagdish Stores
