Green Hope (Environmental-based):
Green Hope is an environmental project, which focuses on waste management issue
in Phnom Penh City, as well as some parts of Cambodia. Nowadays, waste
management in Cambodia is becoming more and more serious which make local
people concerning about it. Green Hope aims to raise the awareness of people in
Cambodia especially the youth to have a better understanding of this issue and see
how it can effect to the human life which live under the sanitation line. Waste
Management is the main problem which people should taking care of it since it’s not
just anyone obligation but everyone because we are all living in one environment.
And if anyone ask you about what kind of environment you want to live in, of course
your answer will be a clean and fresh one, but have you asked yourself how can you
live in that kind of environment you want. It requires all of us to be aware of it, and
there are many activities that cause it due to the environment issue, hygiene level, and
lack of space, and advanced technology, science, polluting, and global warming,
particularly to the countries in line of developing zones. It effect to the human health
and pollute the environment seriously like air pollution, water pollution, land/soil
pollution, and beautiful landscape of the country. There is 928 tons of garbage that
Phnom Penh generates every day, and there is only one company name CINTRI who
is responsible for cleaning and delivering those rubbish to the other area outside the
city, so they could not control all those things and it making the city become
unhealthy. And if the local people still ignore this problem, in the next decade the
rubbish is expected to nearly double to 1,700 tons a day. That’s why we the people
and youth should realize of these problems and start action to help our environment in
our community to be cleaner by acting role model and educate them some practical
solutions.
• EPs will do the research of topics related to Waste Management
• EPs will join a study tour or company visit in Phnom Penh with our members

Cross Cultural Understanding Project is a project run by Cambodian AIESEC
members and also international members of AIESEC. We would like to share cultural
understanding between other countries youths and Cambodian youths, and soft skills
in order to widen our Cambodian students mindset. Together with the school, we hope
that we are able to contribute a very positive impact towards Cambodian society. EPs
will be able to learn about Cambodia cultures and its people as well as being able to
learn to adapt to a developing country environment and its evolvement. This
internship will provide EPs with life-changing experience and challenges that serve
them for the sake of their own development; meanwhile, EPs can also make changes
to Khmer society. Additionally, EPs can make friends with our friendly Cambodian
students and get to interact with them. There are many other learning points for EPs,
which they will realize during their internship.
• Interns will teach and collaborate with students from universities and schools
in Phnom Penh that are partners to AIESEC IFL.
• The content that will be used in class will be based on exchanges of soft skills
that can broaden the knowledge of students. Cultural exchanges will also need
to be included in order for the interns and the students to get to know more
from each other.
• Discussions about university life, presentation skills, global issues (non-
political discussion) and project and event management are to be included
during class.
• Interns have to make the study environment more relaxing but effective and
fun for the student. Interns need to demonstrate a fun learning experience so
that both sides can make use of the class to the full potential.

Nurturing The Future Generations: (Teaching Children)
Nurturing The Future Generations is a project run by Cambodian AIESEC members
and also international members of AIESEC. We hold to the belief that every child, no
matter age, ability or social strata, deserves equal opportunity for a quality education.
Together with the school, we hope that we are able to contribute a very positive
impact towards Cambodian society.
• Be able to teach 6-7 hours per day
• Interns will assist in teaching pre-school and kindergarten classes for children
aged 2-6 years old.
• Interns have to make the study environment more relaxing but effective and
fun for the students. Interns need to demonstrate a fun learning environment so
that both sides can make use of the class.
• The method of instruction would follow the outlined of a typical kindergarten
providing the children with group and individual activities, supervised and
involved play time and conversation activities
• In most cases the volunteer will be the teacher assistant or act as the substitute
teacher on occasion. All lessons content shall be prepared for them in advance;
the interns may be required to supervise a class for brief periods of time
without the help of a head teacher. Most of the time, the volunteers will aid the
foreign head teacher and act as an assistant.
• All lesson content and teaching material is provided on location. The intern
will be required to participate in material prep (ex. cutting paper to prepare for
crafts, photocopy lessons etc.) and are encouraged to come prepared with a
basic kit of art materials from home (ex. colored paper, ruler, marker, stickers
etc.) for their individual use in class.
• Schools will be the TN of the internship which means interns need to obey and
abide by the rule of the institution. TN takers will take care of interns during
internship, while AIESECers will keep constant communication with EPs.
• EPs are required to write a project evaluation and a report at the end of their
internship
