  • 2. Geography Is a field of science dedicated to the study of the lands, the features, the inhabitants, and the phenomena of the Earth.
  • 3. Geography The first person to use the word "geography" was Eratosthenes (276– 194 BC). He invented the discipline of geography, including the terminology used today.
  • 4. Geography Geography has been called "the world discipline" and "the bridge between the human and the physical science".
  • 5. Geography Geography is divided into two main branches: human geography and physical geography.
  • 6. Geography Geographers- is a scholar whose area of study is geography, the study of Earth's natural environment and human society.
  • 7. Physical Geography Studies the processes and patterns in the natural environment.
  • 8. Physical Geography Focuses on geography as an Earth science.
  • 9. Human Geography studies the world, its people, communities and cultures
  • 10. Human Geography focuses on the study of patterns and processes that shape the human society
  • 11. Human Geography It encompasses the human, political, cultural, social, and economic aspects.
