From creating a preliminary school magazine to a final music magazine, the student learned to more effectively use typography effects to make the design look more professional. The color scheme and fonts remained consistent throughout the magazine, changing only for the masthead and articles. Additional skills developed included adding textures and effects to basic backgrounds, using tools like the magic wand to easily crop images, taking a variety of photo angles relevant to the magazine's meaning, and featuring models on the contents page as well as the cover.
