Targets of this function:
• Responsibility for service operation for complex, critical Siemens applications and services, and
service improvement.
• Organization and assurance of SAP system-based administration for critical Company system.
• Organization and assurance of proper functioning of SAP systems. Coordination/execution of
administrative tasks, coordination of requirements, changes and resource planning with customer.
Key figures of this function:
High complexity regarding business impact and service provision (business critical services)
Responsibility for compliance with schedule and function scope/quality;
• Timely, cost efficient and requirement-based realization of customer requests
• Compliance with SLAs;
• Customer satisfaction, Design and management of business critical, complex and highly available IT
systems and solutions (hardware and software incl. networks, databases, use of operating systems
etc.) with high level of security;
Contact (internal/external):
• Company internal customers, external customer, suppliers;
Responsibilities / tasks:
• Independent IT system design (hardware and software incl. networks, databases, use of operating
systems etc.) within the scope of corporate IT strategy. Monitoring of IT market regarding
alternative concepts;
• Negotiation with system providers taking into account ability to integrate IT systems into overall
system and determination of capacity requirements; -Independent installation, configuration,
operation and administration of critical and complex, highly available system solutions incl.
customized features;
• Monitoring of availability and performance of Company's critical applications (e.g. consolidated
financial statement) through permanent monitoring of defined key figures, to guarantee a very high
availability and performance for customers worldwide;
- Capacity planning / sizing by implementing suitable measures to guarantee smooth operation of
solutions e.g. assurance of a well-ordered work/coordination processes. Elaboration of security
concept and guarantee of measures' implementation;
• Troubleshooting by analyzing problems and incidents, initiating and implementing measures to
avoid errors. Initiation of escalation processes where necessary; -Independent implementation and
administration of authorization concept / authorization management / user management by setting
up group or role model in agreement with the customer, with the aim of assuring efficient access
management complying with SOX and audit requirements;
• User support by resolution of technical problems with the help of different communication media
with the aim of guaranteeing a smooth operation within the IT infrastructure, Support of developer
regarding resolution of technical problems, Customer consulting, taking into account customer's
advantages regarding strategies and future IT system design. Adjustment of target and measure
planning based on discussion results;
2. • Controlling of/compliance with operating budget as well as management of external resources in
case of bottlenecks;
• Close coordination with solution manager (e.g. customer meetings) taking into account all relevant
SOX and ISO processes;
