Energy Crisis

Identify The Alternative Source of Energy
Some of them are listed below:
 Solar Energy
 Bio-Mass Energy
 Nuclear Energy
 Geo-thermal Energy
 Tidal Energy
 Wind Energy
 Wave Energy
 Hydro-Electricity
 Compressed Natural Gas
 Radiant Energy
First Step To Save The World
Types of Energy
Generally There are Two Type
 Renewable Source of Energy
Those source of enrgy which is found in adequate
amount in earth
 Non- Renewable Source of Energy
Those source of energy which are limited in earth's
crust
SOLAR ENERGY
Energy obtained from sun which
is infinite(forever).
Merits:
 found in adequate amount,
 do not use up natural resources or harm
the environment,
 does not cause pollution,
 oil reserves will last for 30 to 40 years.
Demerits:
 can only be harnessed when it is daytime and sunny,
 Solar collectors, panels and cells are relatively expensive to
manufacture
 Large areas of land are required to capture the suns energy.
WIND ENERGY
Energy collected from motion
caused by heavy winds
Merits:
 a green energy source and does not
cause pollution,
Wind turbines are incredible space-
efficient ,
The potential of wind power is enormous
Dmerits:
 Wind turbines can be a threat to wildlife (e.g. birds, bats),
 Wind is a fluctuating (intermittent) source of energy and is not
suited to meet the base load energy demand unless some form of
energy storage is utilized (e.g. batteries, pumped hydro).
HYDRO-ELECTRICITY
Electricity generated by hydro-power;
use of the gravitational force of flowing
water.Major source energy in Nepal.
Merits:
 Renewable
 Green
 Reliable
 Flexible
 Safe
Demerits:
 Environmental Consequences
 Expensive
 Limited Reservoirs
 Droughts
BIO-MASS
Organic matter from plants and
animals (microorganisms),
Merits:
 Renewable
 Carbon Neutral
 Cost-Effective
 Abundant
Demerits:
 Expensive
 Requires Space
SOLUTION OF ENERGY CRISIS
All the thing required is the technologies to convert
these abundant resources into useful energy.
Some of solution are listed below:
We should be concious about conservation of enrgies.
WHY FOSSIL FUELS ARE WIDELY USED
IN WORLD?
Merits:
Easily available
Produce large amount of energy
High caloric value
Stability
Transportation
Low cost
Easy set up
Demerits:
Pollution
Acid rain(co,so2)
Destruction of wide areas of land
Global warming
CONCLUSION
I concluded that the alternative source of energy is
any source of energy which is used instead of
fossils fuels such as petroleum products which are
limited in quantity.Only can be solved if the natural
resources such as sun, flowing water, blowing
winds,bio-mass materials,etc are used properly.
