2. Ice Skating
Gliding through the ice
Having so much fun
Twirling, Jumping, Spinning
Making things alive
The coldness of the ice

makes me shiver all the time
Having so much fun
on the blades of my shoes
Make yourself happy
FEEL ALIVE!
No worries No Sadness
Only Happiness!
3. Reflection
This poem was the first poem I wrote for the
poetry unit. I got the idea from my heart and
itโs something I enjoyed to do. Iโm not a good
poetry writer, but I just wrote down the things
that happened to me while I was ice skating.
It turned out to be one of the best poem I ever
wrote.
4. Ice Dancer
The ice skater skates
The ice skater dances
with strength and confidence

like a powerful dancer
with full determination
5. Reflection
I was thinking of writing a simile poem for my
anthology. Iโve seen a figure skater skate to a song,
and it felt like they were dancing, so I wrote this poem
to talk a bit about how skaters dance on ice.
6. Ice Skate Shoes
As I was gliding in my shoes
the shoes so bright and white
with blades shining as I brake
Shing! Shing! Shing!
7. Reflection
I havenโt written an image (6 door) poem in a long
time. I decided it would be nice to have it in my
collection, so I wrote about ice skate shoes. I chose
ice skate shoes because it seemed easier to show for
an image than other things that relate to ice
skating. It was a good poem, but I donโt think itโs
good enough to show everything about the shoes.
8. Ice
Drifting through the transparent white ice
Filled with joy and happiness
Welcoming you everyday
9. Reflection
The poem was a bit short, but I used something
that I observed while ice skating. Even though it
was short, I was surprised at how I can use three
lines to explain everything I wanted to write.
10. The Icicle
The hard and stiff white icicle
being scraped by blades all day
The blades warmer than ice
Leaving scratches melting
EVERYWHERE!
Like a someone melting in the sun
11. Reflection
I just wrote this randomly, but I think that
this poem isnโt as good. I think that I
couldโve done a better job than this.
12. Reflection Through Out This Project
I enjoyed writing these poems. I learned
some interesting strategies to think up and
start my poems. I chose this topic/theme,
because I love ice skating, and I want people
to know how it feels or looks like to skate on
ice.
