Steven asks…
is there any hotel price range 60 MYR to 70MYR?
is there any hotel price range 60 MYR to 80MYR if yes where? Can I get it city central? How far
city central from Airport Kuala Lumpur.
Cuti-cuti Malaysia answers:
Better check in www.asiarooms.com they offer great deals. About the airport we have 2 airport
here in KL one is KLIA and the other one is the budget. If you come from KLIA you can take a
KLIA Express (Train) to KL Sentral and from KL Sentral you can take a taxi or other train for
your destination and much better. While in LCCT Budget Terminal you can take either bus or
taxi.
KLIA Express to City is RM35(one way) atleast 28minutes travel
LCCT – Taxi to City, fare between RM70 to RM90 (1hour drive)
LCCT – Bus to City, fare RM8 or RM9 depends on the bus company (1hour drive) and it all stop
in KL Sentral and from there you can take a train or taxi to your hotel destination

Going to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia next weekend. Need a little
advice.?
I will be spending four nights in the city and have to make at least 2 trips to the Thai embassy
on Jalen Ampang while there. Judging by maps and reading, Chinatown or Golden Triangle
may be good options for stay. Looking for hotel/hostel info, experiences and names. Want mid
to low price with a/c. Considering pre-booking for convience, but would love some feedback
first.
Also, I’m flying in about mid-day and wonder the best means of transport from the
airport…taxi, train, bus, etc, and cost. Any suggestions of good sights, restaurants, etc are
welcome.
Thanks for any help you can give!
Cuti-cuti Malaysia answers:
The nearest hotel to the Thai Embassy is the Crown Princess hotel. Thai Embassy is just
walking distance away from this hotel. However this hotel is a 5 star hotel , so be prepared to
pay for a 5 star rate. Get the latest rate from their websites. Hotels near the golden triangle are
even more expensive. .

If cost is your concern, i suggest you stay at the cheapest hotel in Kuala Lumpur , the Tune
Hotel. It is very cheap but decent. A/C is not provided unless you are willing to pay a certain
sum to buy the credit hours for A/C. Overall you probably pay at least 1/5 of what you have to
pay for a 5 star hotel room. From this hotel, take the LRT train to KLCC station. Alight from
KLCC station, cross to the opposite road and walk a few hundred metres and you’ll reach the

3. Thai Embassy. Basically you can take the LRT train to all over Kuala Lumpur city centre. It is
cheap and convenient. Try not to take taxi as most taxi drivers like to fleece their foreign
passengers. Alternatively for travel within Kuala Lumpur city centre, you may take the Rapid KL
buses. Purchase their daily pass which entitle you to unlimited travel on their buses for that
particular day.

On the day of your departure, take the LRT train to Kuala Lumpur Sentral Station. From the this
main station, purchase a ticket for ERL KLIA ExpressTrain directly to KLIA. Fare :RM35.00,
Travel time: 28 minutes. Frequency : every 15 minutes. You can even check in for your flight
and luggage at this main station before taking this train. Try to take this train at least 3 hours
before your actual departure time.

Has anybody heard or has gone to A’famosa resort in malaysia?
we’re planning to go to malaysia & I’m thinking if its ok if i’ll get the a’famosa package in
US$260 for 3 days & 2 nights (including everything-airport transfer/meals/1/2 day tour to
KL/admission to their theme parks and other recreational activities). The place looks good
though I’m not so sure coz I jaz saw the pics and details in the web. If only I will be able to talk
to somebody who has any idea abt the place. Or will it be more practical if I’ll just get a hotel
in Kuala Lumpur and jaz go on separate trips on tourist destinations?

I have! Its because im a Malaysian! Well, its always nice to visit a theme park. Sure, Kuala
Lumpur (where I live) is real hi-tech, modern city, but the fun is at A’Famosa Resort. It has a
Cowboy Town with Night Parades, Water Theme Park, and not far from A’Famosa are two
attractions so-called the Mini Malaysia and Crocodile farm. A few good kilometres from
A’Famosa is the Malacca State’s capital- Malacca! Sightseeing in Malacca is nice. Visit the
Stadhuys Catedhral, the real A’Famosa Fort, and the replica Portuguese ship used by Alfonso
Albuerqueque and his Portuguese soldiers to invade Malacca and monopolize the Malacca
Herbs and Spices Trade. Enough talk, believe me- it’s a Sun-sational fun holiday experience
there. For Kuala Lumpur, shopping is cheap and choiceful at Mid Valley Megamall, One Utama,
Isetan KLCC, Jalan Bukit Bintang’s Night Markets….. Gosh its great! Remember to visit Aquaria
KLCC, Petrosains, and the K.L. Tower on Bukit Nenas.

Cuti-cuti Malaysia answers:
You should be check-in at the airport at least 2 hours before departing. This is the minimum
requirement if you want to avoid any hassle later on. And if you are staying in hotel nearby the
twin towers, you should leave the hotel as early as 8.30am to avoid morning traffic.
Paul asks…
Do I need a transit visa?
I am flying to Australia with Malaysia Airlines and holding a Pakistani passport. I have 22 hours
overnight stay (transit) in Kuala Lumpur and the airline has given me a hotel voucher to stay at
the airport hotel “Pan Pacific Hotel, KL International. I have been told by the airline that I will
not need a transit visa and if I wish to visit the city then I will be issued a one day visa on arrival
from the airport?
Please also advise on the luggage collection at KL airport and again check in for the flight next
day to Australia?
This is the first time I am going alone with an overnight stay, hence any help would be much
appreciated.
Awaiting a prompt response.
