3. Capability Statement
Executive Summary
Turner & Townsend are one of the largest independent international global Construction and
Management Consultancies with over 60 years experience and 54 offices worldwide. We
consolidated our European operations in 1993 as a direct response to increasing demand from
global corporations for a geographically wider approach to construction consultancy.
In order to provide the best possible service to our clients across Europe, we believe very
strongly that local markets can only be truly served by local knowledge and experience.
Consequently, we have invested significantly in this strategy and have a number of primary
hubs throughout Europe from which we offer our complete range of consultancy services. Our
strategically placed hubs also allow us to deliver and monitor projects to all of continental
Europe.
We have created a core team of people that are responsible for:
Ensuring consistency of project delivery standards across Europe and the transfer of best
practice to our individual hubs (and vice versa)
Effective monitoring of one-off, national, and pan-European programmes and projects
Providing complete range of services to individual projects through our hub locations
“Turner & Townsend's team have supported us in the rollout of our new Visual Identity over the
whole of Europe for many years. They have the flexible approach required to deal with the
micro issues of the many different countries, whilst retaining visibility of the macro issues
involved in this large and complex programme. They have built good relationships with the
country representatives and integrated into the Nissan Europe team. The individuals have
shown exceptional drive, allowing us to achieve our demanding targets in this increasingly
difficult environment.”
M. Lecou, Dealer Network Manager, Nissan Europe April 2009
